FRAME The new frame design provides approximately 20 % higher torsional rigidity and 30 % less longitudinal stiffness, with newly designed engine stays for less vibration. This increased flexibility results in better absorption of the energy created from the front and rear wheel loads supporting the suspension for more comfort and less rider fatigue. A 0.4° steeper steering angle and a 10 mm shorter wheel base contribute to better handling, and last but not least it´s lighter than the previous model. GRAPHICS New modern in-mold graphics highlight the Ready to Race character of the cutting-edge 2017 XC-F range of bikes. HANDLEBAR The new generation XC-F models are equipped with a new tapered handlebar made of high-strength aluminum by NEKEN, which is fixed in a new rubber damped handlebar clamp allowing the handlebar to be mounted in two different positions. All 4-Stroke models feature a new throttle assembly with model-specific throttle cams for different opening characteristics and new ODI grips featuring lock-on fixing clamp on the left-hand side. 2014 KTM 350 XC-F, 2014 KTM 350 XC-F BEST IN CLASS The 350 XC-F has taken Factory FMF/KTM rider Charlie Mullins to multiple National Enduro wins during the opening half of the 2013 season. His teammate Kailub Russell has matched his success on the 350cc machine with wins in both the GNCC and OMA 2013 series. Features May Include: TRIPLE CLAMPS The lower triple clamp has been modified for optimum attachment of the new front fender. Thanks to its new contour and attachment with two bolts from the front and two from below, the new fender boasts significantly higher stability. SUSPENSION/DAMPING For 2014, all XC models are fitted with a newly developed 48mm 4CS Closed Cartridge fork featuring the patented 4-Chamber-System. The sophisticated design provides very constant and sensitive damping characteristics and an adjustable end progression. The new hand click adjuster system is now accessible on top of the fork, rebound on the right hand side, compression on the left. The fork is fitted with improved seal rings made by SKF and high performance fork oil (SAE 4). Compared to the predecessor, the new 4CS fork is lighter , easier to maintain and has been completely valved to match the shock for XC racing. FRAME The state-of-the-art frame design made of lightweight, high-strength chromoly steel sections combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional rigidity. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability. SWINGARM The cast aluminium swingarm has been developed with state-of-the-art calculation and simulation software and constructed, in terms of design and wall thickness, for minimum weight with optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility. For the 2014 model year, our engineers have revised the chainguide for the benefit of higher functional reliability, while simultaneously reducing the weight. AIR BOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter against dirt while ensuring maximum airflow for top performance. The Twin Air filter can be changed without tools in seconds, a standard for KTM. ENGINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS) In combination with the revolutionary injector position as developed by KTM, the Keihin Engine Management System with electronic fuel injection and 44mm throttle body provides the engine with a spontaneous response and maximum performance. But that s no surprise. The successful combination of a powerful and torquey engine in a lightweight and agile ch***is is bound to place the 250 SX-F onto podium after podium. The result: the current SX-F models are the slimmest, lightest bikes on the track. Even though the 4-strokes are equipped with an electric starter as a standard feature, while the competition still needs to be kick started, the SX-F line weigh in pounds less. The bike also features an extra-light aluminum subframe, which weighs in at less than 2 pounds.
