The Evolution engine is known as Harley's best and most reliable powerplant. 1999 is the last year of the Evo. Custom paint from D. Strader Studios looks gorgeous and glossy. It's a one-of-a-kind work by a truly talented artist. There is airbrushed smoke detail in the flames if you look closely. Bike also comes with a large quick-release windshield in excellent condition (not pictured). Factory “blonde” powdercoat on the cylinders makes for easy cleaning (no chrome to clean or black powdercoat to fade). Extras include S&S Super E Carb, forward controls, drag pipes, Pingel fuel petcock and various chrome dress up bits. Starts, idles, runs, stops and turns excellent. Dunlop tires have lots of tread left.I know what it is like to buy a bike or car and find undisclosed flaws after purchase; I would never do that to anybody. I believe that the Willie G skull emblem on the left fuel tank is covering a paint blemish from the previous owner. I see some paint chipped at the bottom edge of the emblem. It's not visible unless you get your eye below the emblem and look up, but I want to disclose it in case you want to remove that emblem. There is a small scratch in the paint just behind the passenger seat. There are no other paint blemishes that I can find. There are no swirls and it has a deep clearcoat gloss. As for the chrome, there is some pitting in the transmission cover and the primary cover you can see in the pics if you look closely. The rest of the chrome looks great. Mechanically, I can't find any flaws. Replaced on 7/1/16: Stator, Voltage regulator, Battery, Primary chain tensioner – changed to Hayden Enterprises automatic tensioner system to eliminate the need to check tension in the futureMaintenance performed on 7/1/16: All fluids replaced with Amsoil synthetic: Transmission, Primary, Engine, Fork oil; Oil filter changed; Oil screen cleaned, Foam air filter cleaned and oiled; Spark plugs replaced; Clutch adjusted, Belt tension checked; Front and rear wheel bearings inspected and repacked with synthetic grease; All cables and levers lubricated; Brake pad thickness checked; Brake rotor thickness checked; Wheel spokes checked and tightened; Battery leads cleaned and tightened; Complete cosmetic detail, polish and wax. All maintenance is done and it is ready to ride. I took it for a 260 mile ride on 7/2/16 and it has been on a battery tender in the garage under a cover since then, waiting for the lucky new owner. I would feel comfortable riding it cross-country tomorrow. Selling due to need room as it's a pain to maneuver all the bikes in the garage now that I've added a new Electra Glide to my collection. Clean and clear FL title in my name in hand. Payment by cash or cashier's check only. No lowballs, I'm not desperate and it's already priced to sell. Your winning offer will start with a 5. If you see this ad, it is still for sale. SALESPEOPLE: DO NOT CONTACT ME. I do not want help selling!

1999 Yamaha RoadStar 1600, approximately 33k miles. This is not a "custom" bike with nothing more than a bunch of bolt-on parts, or a weekend hack job involving nothing more than a chopped-off tail section and an ill-fitting solo seat. Every component was planned and vetted for functionality and usability. First and foremost if you look at the pictures you will notice that, besides the switches and grips, there is nothing on the handlebars. I have designed and manufactured a one-of-a-kind throttle that utilizes a GAS PEDAL as opposed to the standard twist throttle. I have never seen or heard of a similar system. It functions smooth and simple and is completely comfortable both around town and on highway cruises. The bike also uses a jockey shifter with the hand-operated clutch mounted on the shifter. Finally, to complete the cleaning up of the handlebars, the front brake has been changed to a Wilwood master cylinder operated by a foot control on the left side. The rear brakes remain stock and are operated by modified controls. That being said, there are nuances to riding this one of a kind creation. It requires starting from a stopped position with only one hand one the handlebars, please keep in mind that the bike is heavy but is very well mannered at low speeds, it just takes a confident rider - not recommended for the weak or timid. Other modifications include (from front of the bike to rear) Bobbed front fender Chrome 1.25" "Z" Handlebars with old-school grips Low mounted mirrors - very functional and low-profile One-off switch boxes for Turn/ Horn High-Low Custom made rear-sets using stock passenger foot pegs Modified foot controls for throttle, and front/rear brakes One-off jockey shifter with mounted hand clutch and luminescent grip One-off side panels Custom Kill and Starter switches Seat mount modification - often referred to as "De-Horning" Custom solo seat with gel padding Low-profile rear turn signals Modified Vance and Hines Long Shots - sectioned and shortened, short shot baffles 1957 Cadillac taillight with standard or blue-dot lens 7" flat fender custom mounted for low profile look while maintaining soft-tail comfort (no rigid frame/ hard-tail beating you up when you ride) The "paint" you see is actually a not-so-great application of "Dip Your Car" plasti-dip that I applied trying to figure out what color I wanted to go with. This gives you the option of leaving it as-is or coming up with your own paint scheme. I had contemplated removing the cosmetic front fork tins in order to reduce the "bulkiness" of the front end as far as appearance but obviously haven't had the opportunity yet. Please remember that this is a fifteen-year-old motorcycle and, while it is in very good condition, there may be minor cosmetic blemishes. I highly recommend that the purchaser has the motorcycle gone over by a certified mechanic prior to purchase or riding.
