Single family owned original 1971 BSA Firebird Scrambler with under 5,000 miles (approximate). The bike sat indoors and protected in our family house for over 30 years. The bike was just fully serviced by one of the most reputable shops in NYC for vintage european bikes. Any part that was worn from sitting was replaced with brand new parts, new tires and new inner tubes. Bike runs great!BSA '71 650 cc Firebird Scrambler, twin carb, oil in frame model. Original high pipes replaced with street pipes.  Front sprocket changed for lower rpm at highway speed. Missing speedometer and cable to rear wheel. Gas tank coated to prevent rust.  Also added an oil pressure gauge but is currently not hooked up. All paint is original. Been sitting in garage for 35 years.

1968 BSA B44SS Shooting Star441cc single cylinder, runs great, 5,700 original miles100 psi compression - cold My father bought this bike new in 1968. He then sold it in 1975. Several years ago, I tracked it down and my brothers and I purchased it back as he had always missed it. He passed away this past year and its just collecting dust. To my knowledge, and my dad's, it was never fully restored. It has had several parts replaced. The original tank is off the bike and is used as a spare. The one on the bike was repainted several years ago. The bike runs great, I just rode it today (9/5/15) through all four gears. The shifter is setup reversed for some reason so first gear is up and the rest are down. It can be switched back by pulling off the cover and flipping the linkage (directions in the manual). Brakes work fine. Needs new tires and a few small parts (kick starter rubber cover, shifter rubber cover, throttle cable routed correctly, etc.). This bike isn't a show winner but a true original and survivor. The chrome has some rust. The cylinder cases aren't polished. The tank paint is in really good shape, the frame is painted well and looks good. Spares: spark plug, oil tank, side cover, fuel tank, levers, new handlebar There is also a new, OEM tool kit that took years to track down. All of the manuals will be included as well. The owner's manual, workshop manual, and spare parts books are BSA originals. There's also a new copy of the workshop manual. Dad would work out of the copy so the original stayed in good shape. Please let me know if you have any questions,

WE HAVE PROVIDED MANY, MANY PICTURES SO YOU CAN REALLY SEE WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS NOT A NEW BIKE, IT IS OVER 40 YEARS OLD, AND NEEDS FINISHING. THERE IS NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND, THIS VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE IS SOLD AS IS. WE DO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANY TIME, AS IT IS AVAILABLE FOR SALE LOCALLY, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL 315-532-6434 PLEASE READ ENTIRE AUCTION BELOW FOR THE MOTORCYCLE'S STORY AND OVER 100 PICTURES! THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING IT A FUTURE PRIZED POSSESSION :) ESTATE* BSA MOTORCYCLE OWNED BY SAME PERSON FOR OVER 25 YEARS. WHEN IT WAS PUT IN STORAGE, IT WAS ALWAYS THOUGHT HE WOULD RESTORE THAT BIKE SOMEDAY. AFTER MUCH TIME THINKING & TALKING ABOUT THE ENJOYMENT OF RIDING THAT THE BIKE GAVE HIM, THE DAY CAME A FEW YEARS AGO. HE HAD THE TIME AND NOW THE BSA WAS ON TOP OF HIS LIST, SO THE PROJECT STARTED. DISASSEMBLING, CLEANING, CHECKING, AND MAKING LISTS AND LISTS OF PARTS & IDEAS. ALWAYS THINKING IN THE BACK OF HIS MIND THAT HE COULD DO THIS PROJECT. THE NEXT TASK WAS TO GET ALL THE PARTS TO MAKE IT NEW AGAIN. THE PROJECT WAS MOVING ALONG, EACH WEEK GETTING PARTS AND INFO ON REBUILDING ENGINE, TRANS, Etc. AFTER A LONG TIME OF REBUILDING AND ASSEMBLING THE BSA..... THE DAY FINALLY CAME TO START THE ENGINE. AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE AND RUNNING IT FOR A WHILE, HE LOOKED AT HIS WIFE AND SAID, "I DID IT, IT RUNS SMOOTH! " AFTER SHUTTING THE BIKE OFF AND GETTING OFF THE SEAT, HE HAD A SHORTNESS OF BREATH, COLLAPSED, AND PASSED AWAY NEXT TO THE BIKE. THIS WAS A VERY SAD DAY OF COURSE, AND THE DECISION TO SELL THIS MOTORCYCLE WAS VERY DIFFICULT AND COULDN'T BE DECIDED ON FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. BUT, NOW THE TIME HAS COME FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO ENJOY IT. HE SPENT OVER $3,000.00 IN PARTS AND A LOT OF TIME FINDING THEM AS WELL AS WORKING ON THE BIKE TO THE POINT IT'S AT NOW. IT NEEDS FINISHING, AND TO BE ENJOYED BY SOMEONE AS MUCH AS IT WAS BY HIM. SO WHAT IS INCLUDED? THE MOTORCYCLE AND THE PARTS ..... REFER TO PHOTOS: SOME ARE OF THE MOTORCYCLE BEING REBUILT, SOME SHOW PARTS, NEW AND OLD, THE PARTS SEEN IN PHOTOS ON BLUE TABLE ARE INCLUDED. THE OTHER PHOTOS SHOW THE BIKE IN THE CONDITION THAT IT'S IN NOW. NOTE: WE WERE TOLD THIS IS A SUPER ROCKET MODEL. WE ARE NOT POSITIVE OF THE EXACT YEAR OF THE BIKE, (THERE ARE PICTURES OF THE VIN NUMBER BELOW) THE REGISTRATION HAS BEEN LOST, WHICH WAS GOING TO BE REPLACED ONCE IT WAS ROAD READY. UNFORTUNATELY, THINGS CHANGED BEFORE THAT HAPPENED. WE DO HAVE PAPERWORK TO GET A REPLACEMENT (TRANSFERABLE) REGISTRATION (WHICH IS THE TITLE FOR ANY VEHICLE OLDER THAN 1973 IN NY). WE WILL HELP WITH GETTING THE PAPERWORK. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS YOU HAVE BEFORE BIDDING. WE MAY HAVE SOMEONE AVAILABLE FOR POSSIBLE DELIVERY OF MOTORCYCLE & PARTS, ASK QUESTIONS. 315-532-6434

Here is a 1970 BSA A65L Lightning with 12000 miles on it. It is a all numbers matching bike with engine rebuilt in mid 90's and has about 500 miles on it. I have detailed service records for all work done. Tank and covers repainted in excellent condition, no rust in tank, petcocks rebuilt. It has sat for years but had it running a few weeks back. I had to shut it down due to an oil leak that came from one of the bolts that secure the valve cover(See last picture for location of oil leak). I am not sure what the issue is, it could just be a gasket. It will also need a new batteryIts a very clean bike with lots of potential. Comes with last registration and bill of sale.

For sale is a classic BSA Thunderbolt that has been in the family since it was purchased from the factory in the late 1960's. Everything about this BSA is original and it only has 1148 miles with numbers matching from the frame to the engine. Last time this bike was on the road was in 1975, it has been safely stored ever since, and bike has started and ran within the past five years. Mechanically speaking this bike is in good shape, only repairs needed are minor touch up to the chrome trim due to slight pitting, and small rip to side cover of bike. I would love to keep this bike in the family but due to moving it has to go to a good home. Please message me with any question and I will get back to you ASAP Thank you
