This is an incredibly clean /6 with only 67,213 miles. We completed a major service (valve adjustment, throttle body synchronization, all fluids and stainless brake lines) in November 2012 when it had 66,621 miles and it hasn't traveled much since. We sold it earlier this year at 66,981 miles and prior to sale we replaced the tires, battery, neutral switch, both fuel taps and completed an oil and filter change. Only factory parts were used and completed by one of our heritage technicians. In addition to the incredible condition, this bike also comes with a binder of receipts and records from previous owners' which gives you a sense of the life this bike has lived. If you are looking for a ready to ride airhead without the need for service work and in exceptional condition this one has to be considered. Call John (x125) or Jim (x119) at 603-964-2877 with questions or to purchase this machine.

Motorcycles Other DX5631161624338526640166348 DX1 . the hand controls needed to be refinished and some of the cable boots were needing to be replaced. the handlebars have been exchanged for proper USA type bars and the hand controls have been refinished and correct hand grips installed. We also performed the BMW Factory recommended 10K Service on the bike; a comprehensive end to end inspection service and adjustment. Black. We also addressed all the other small stuff mentioned above as well as several other small details previously unnoticed. the new owner wanted an upgraded suspension so we installed a new pair of Progressive 1200 Series rear shocks and installed the original polished aluminum covers on them so that they look very similar to original. 1974 BMW R75/6 SOLD.... This is Serial #4910001! This is the FIRST US R75/6 off the line in the FIRST year of production for the /6 Series!!!!! Fresh 10K Service. To see more high resolution views of this bike in detail please click on the link below to direct you to our online photo storage on Picturepush or request our series of high resolution photos via an email to [email protected]. This blows it up to maximum size (about 6 times window size) and you can use the scroll bars to move around your view point like your eye is 2 feet from the bike. the previous owner had a complete mechanical and cosmetic restoration done five or six years ago and hasn? t ridden it much since. We wanted to go ride this bike for days when it was finished. None of this was really NECESSARY as only an expert would know the difference but we felt that the historic significance of this bike warranted making it perfect. We are totally confident that the new owner will fall in love with this beautiful machine and give it a well appreciated and well cared for second life. It was already equipped with an aftermarket Brown style sidestand (we like these a lot as they are much more functional than the original stand). http://picturepush.com/+sqE2 Click on one of the thumbnail photos on the left to see it larger on the right. We built a new LWB seat using all new parts on an original 1974 metal pan and is now the correct length. Tires are like new. the Dyna III ignition is a good upgrade; we? ll leave it but move the main unit out of site to the frame backbone. the bike comes with the original tool kit hand pump and Owner? s Manual. We did notice a few things that we wanted to address in an effort to make it PERFECT and as ORIGINAL as it came from the factory;. the bike had Incorrect hand grips and the centerstand tine was missing. the front disc was a 1975 on drilled disc; we planned to put an original 1974 disc back on it. New original round front footpeg rubbers and NEW NLA (No Longer Available from BMW) original round rear footpeg assemblies were sourced and installed. Only 627 Miles! 1974 R75/6. Braided Stainless front brake line (we decided to leave this instead of restoring it to rubber). the drilled front disc has been exchanged for the correct 1974 only non-drilled disc. the horn was functional but was not the correct one with black body and chrome disc in front. the FIRST off the line. It didn? t really NEED service but we wanted to know that we had addressed everything and that nothing was missed. We have now finished all the changes necessary to make this beautiful BMW just a bit more perfect and much closer to ? Original? as it came from the factory. the engine and frame numbers match. It is very close to what a new 1974 R75/6 would have been like when picked up from a Dealer; a truly wonderful machine to ride! However reality and other necessary work interfered so we only got to add 50 miles on the odometer. Then click on the larger photo on the right to see it in a full screen pop-up window. We would be happy to answer any questions you have about this BMW motorcycle; please call us at 614.837.1160. the centerstand has had the tine replaced and has been repainted. Unseen is the Progressive Suspension front progressively wound fork springs to improve road irregularity responses and lessen diving under hard braking. the seat was a SWB (short wheelbase) and needed to be exchanged for a LWB (long wheelbase) seat. the wheel spokes have been re-done with stainless (we? ll leave them as they are). A BEAUTIFUL BMW! When we first got this bike in on a Trade-in we knew that it was very special and wanted it to be as perfect as possible when we were finished preparing it for sale. 1975 BMW in excellent mecanical and paint conditions, no rust or dents, runs excellent. transmision works nice and smooth, has electric ignition, runs up to 90 mph easily. Tires have 90 percent of life. It also has the jumstart conection for slow charge. Everything works properly with the exception of the dashboard, the directional lights and the neutral light sometimes blink and sometimes they dont. There is a false conection somewhere. It also has two little scatches in the front bender. This is a collectors item that was not runned in the streets many times.

1976 BMW R75/6-R100RS, This is a special project but perhaps not for any reason our readers and those who might be interested probably have in mind. It’s a little more special (not specifically more valuable however) because Bob has known the person this interesting machine came to us from for almost as long as he’s been riding BMW motorcycles. As a result he watched this bike transform from the mostly original R75/6 it began its life as into the once beautiful R100RS hybrid it is now.Right up front we’ll disclose that to the best of the sellers knowledge this bike has about 80,000 total miles. He signed a document attesting to this and has no reason to not tell the truth. We believe that but you can judge for yourself if you don’t agree. It’s a bunch of miles for sure. The odometer shows 9,337 miles and that’s all that he believed was placed on the bike with that speedo which was swapped out at some point years ago. We’ve not ridden it far enough to know if the speedo actually logs miles and with the tires it has we aren’t going to test it out..We firmly believe that it still belongs on the road as it arrived running. But as a PROJECT BIKE it certainly requires a bunch of TLC, some mid-level expertise, a bunch of maintenance parts, tires, carb rebuild kits and a host of other stuff before you address the less than stunning cosmetics. But it is all there and there is a great deal that is hard to see in these teaser cell phone images but here they are just so we could get it up fast. If it does not sell pretty quickly Bob promised to take some better photos and provide a greater more diverse mix of views. For the short term, the astute lurker and efficient hunter-gatherer will call before that happens and steal it.
