Selling 1972 BMW R75/5 in excellent condition, totally original, not restored but with a lot of refurbishing of original parts. This R75/5 has 51K miles of working odometer which I believe it is accurate because it was last registered in 1983 until I registered it in my name last January. The bike has undergone a lot of work to be brought in its present condition: professional grade paint, carbs cleaned, new pushrod seals, new rear tire, new chrome on exhaust, head light and speedo bezel. It also had recent valve adjustment, oil change and electrical work, it now starts (electric and kick) runs, idles, shifts and charges as designed. All parts are original to this motorcycle, except seat cover - made in Germany - there are ABSOLUTELY no knock-off parts on it whatsoever, it is not perfect but very good, clean and dependable, no smoke or abnormal mechanical noise. Clean, clear title in my name. Like with any motorcycle of this vintage there are some flaws that need to be pointed out: - cylinder head fins have some small chips, mostly on under side - the tach shows a loose approximation of engine speed - there is a small chip on front brake drum All work was done with the intention of keeping and riding this beautiful classic but unforeseen issues force sale.
