2001 BMW R 1100 R, I'm selling my 2001 BMW R1100R with 48K on the clock (nothing for a maintained BMW). It's been garage kept and very reliable the past two years that I've owned it. I'm a property manager and I ride it everyday around the city. It's got a few scrapes and bruises from careless drivers backing into it while parked (inevitable risks of parking on the streets of San Francisco). Bike includes: * two windshield models and mounting hardware * saddlebags/side cases * Clymer repair manual Some of the cosmetic issues: * Right tail signal housing busted (currently held with clear duct tape). * Dings on mirror housing * Scrapes on engine block covers * Seat is beginning to show wear Some of the mechanical/electrical issues: * Clutch may need to be replaced soon * Small oil leak developing at rear drive shaft boot * Heated grips work intermittently * Rear tire is at about 70%, front tire is probably at about 45% * Front and rear brakes have about 70% left Other than all of that, the bike runs great and has been maintained at BMW Motorcycles of San Francisco almost exclusively since I've owned it. It's a sexy bike and turns heads everyday I ride it. The most common comment I hear from people while riding is how they don't normally like the look of BMW bikes, but think this one looks pretty rad. Have pretty much all the records/receipts. I'm very motivated to sell quickly, and it needs a bit of work, thus the $1800 asking price O.B.O. I'm willing to negotiate a deal. Come swing by the Mission District, check it out, me an offer. 2000 BMW R 1100 R, Selling my first ever bike. I bought this ten years ago and rode it solidly for the first five years, but my riding has slowly tapered off. I also live in Los Angeles now, so if I stick with it I want to get a smaller bike. This bike has been really great throughouts its life with me. I've only ever dropped it twice, and those were from a stand. Once at a stop light when my foot slipped on a slippery road, and the second time I just lost my balance. Damage is shown. Only major would I have had done is a bent fork in the transmission. No problems since, and probably had to do with how I was shifting when I was learning how to ride. I've removed the old handlebars and windscreen since they didn't look good in my opinion. There is a tear in the seat, and there cylinder head bumpers have some scuffs on them. $3,200.00
