A 1/200 limited edition 1978 r100rs "motorsport" edition with an exceptional 34,xxx miles. It is a beautifully running motorcycle but unfortunately I have no maintenance records on the bike as none could be provided by the dealership I purchased it from and I have not had it long enough to have any performed myself. The paint is original apart from a touch up by the previous owner in the white tank paint. As is only natural, it has 34,xxx miles worth of small dings, chips and tiny cracks in all the usual places on the fairing. All guages and lights work as well as the clock. Tires are nearly brand new. There is a small dent on the tail of the seat (also from the previous owner) but it is in otherwise beautiful shape. I am simply not up to the task of restoring a rare piece of BMW Airhead history that belongs in a museum. Sale includes original white krauser bags and bracket, original full tool kit, original owners manual and original red cable wheel lock hidden under tank/seat. Matching numbers 6183242. Original condition all stock, numbers matching, never molested and in excellent condition for a 36 year old motorcycle. Have clear title ready to transfer. A rare opportunity!I bought the bike from the second owner who had it for over 20 years and stored for approximately the last 10 years. Looks great & runs fantastic. Great power, pulls well, handles wonderfully. All electronics work as they should. It has 29,196 miles and given the condition and mechanics of the bike I believe this is the true original mileage. Mileage may increase a little as I continue to ride the bike occasionally.Mechanically, the front brake master cylinder was rebuilt, all brake fluid was flushed and replaced, fuel petcocks were rebuilt, gas tank was flushed and cleaned with Metal Rescue (not relined with any of those crappy products). New NGK plus, ignition timed, carbs cleaned and adjusted, valves adjusted, all fluids replaced: changed motor filter & oil 15W50 Mobil 1 synthetic, transmission and drive 90 weight gear oil, fork oil replaced with Belray 7.5. Brand new Panasonic sealed battery. Metzeler tires are in good shape with lots of tread. The bike is ready to ride!

Nice original R100RS with both 3/4 (solo) and dual seats. Period correct Krauser bags, new tires, lithium battery, clutch, Staintune exhaust, and recent tune up. I bought this bike from a friend who had it stored for a few years indoors. I flushed the tank and went thru the bike, changing all fluids, replacing the gaskets and cables, adjusting the valves, and giving it a tune up. I eventually replaced the front brake lines with stainless ones.The clutch has a very light pull since the cable is new and the entire clutch mechanism was cleaned before re-assembly.I rode this bike as my daily transportation 3-4 times /week and on weekend rides for two years with no problems.It has some nicks in the paint and other minor cosmetic flaws but overall has a great patina. I cleaned the snowflake wheels, carbs, engine, and rear drive and these look very nice. There is a very slight oil leak from the pan -a couple of drops when the engine is hot. I have not sorted it since it's a very minor thing. An injury prevents me from riding and motivates the sale. The RS is the most versatile of Airheads. It will keep up with modern bikes in the hills and is very smooth and comfortable to ride. The bags, great wind protection, and big tank make it a great tourer.

Early 1977 R100RS 10/1976 build, #136 in the USA, with matching head tube, frame and motor VIN numbers. Beautiful satin blue with 40mm exhaust and carbs, Lester mag wheels and Krauser luggage. Bike has about 79,000 miles on it and starts great and idles well. I purchased this bike in 2014 after it had been sitting since 2008. Recent work since I've owned the bike includes: -Transmission rebuilt by The Beemer Shop and input spline lube -New brake lines -Michelin Pilot Activ tires -Gel battery -throttle, clutch and brake cables -Carbs rebuilt and balanced -Spark plugs and wires -Starter and horn relays -Tune up including new points/condenser, timing, valve adjustment, and compression test (145 psi in both cylinders) Per the previous owner: In 2005 cylinders inspected and new rings installed, new clutch, progressive springs and new fork seals. In 2008 the master cylinder and starter were replaced. I removed the lower fairing to complete some maintenance and liked the look better; however, the complete fairing is included. The lower right portion of the fairing could use some fiberglass work where a mounting point is pulling through. I bought this with the idea of sorting it out for my wife to ride but she prefers her F800ST instead. Now I need to make some room in my garage.

This BMW R100RS is such a great airhead, possibly the finest I've owned. Prior to my ownership, it was in one family since new. It's received a few very desirable upgrades along the way, notably, the period correct Supertrapp mufflers, lightweight starter electronic ignition and British Police style solo seat. The mufflers are not loud but have a notable tone that hints that their's some power lurking in there. The motorcycle has been fully serviced and is ready to ride, everything works as it should and I would not hesitate sending someone off across the country. Most recent tasks completed include, Valve adjustment fully rebuilt carbs, including new diaphragms - this bike has the very desirable Bing 40s, the largest available, carbs have been sync'd and tuned gas tank has been cleaned out petcocks rebuilt all fluids changed new AGM sealed battery This has to be the most desirable spec for an airhead, dual disks on the front and one on the rear and brembo calipers all round. It's in all round superb condition, registered and insured and currently on the road in daily use. I can ship the bike anywhere in the country for $500. Any inspection welcome. I'd like to be paid in cash, alternatively I'll accept a cashiers check.
