This sleek 1974 BMW R90S is fully serviced and ready to ride. 10K Service. the battery is a new sealed type. the tires are in VERY good condition. It is obvious that this bike has been maturely ridden and very well taken care of throughout its life. the owner has had this bike since 1977 when it had only 7 000 miles on it. We rebuilt the del? Orto carburetors relined the fuel tank with POR15 fuel tank liner new fork seals all new wheel bearings and seals and rebuilt the petcocks. Then scroll down to the bottom right and click on the word ? Full? . the Hannigan fairing makes this a wonderful bike to ride in almost any weather. the motor was fully rebuilt 16 000 miles ago top end and bottom end. the ride is smooth yet the bike takes the corners like it is on rails. Motorcycles Cruiser DX5631161624338526640166348 DX1 . It has a Hannigan SS fairing and the bike has a Midnight Blue on Charcoal Smoke paint job. She says the odo has turned over once so total actual miles is 161 520. the exhaust is clean and solid and has replica mufflers with a nice note without being loud. This bike will make either an ideal sport touring bike or a dependable commuting bike. This blows it up to maximum size (about 6 times window size) and you can use the scroll bars to move around your view point like your eye is 2 feet from the bike. We performed a complete factory recommend 10K Major Service after which we put on a 500 mile shakedown ride to be sure everything is tight and right (also it is a VERY sweet bike to ride!). the engine and frame have matching numbers and the title is clear. 1974 R90S in showroom condition, with a few extra race bits!This bike was completely gone through, every nut and bolt removed, and stripped down to the frame. Frame correctly repainted along with authentic Silver Smoke paint job. This beautiful looking R90S is true to the original character of the Silver Smoke paint scheme - very difficult to replicate and this one is spot on!In addition to the cosmetic work this bike received, we opted to add a few specific items to make the bike more fun on the street or track. A "336" factory sport cam was installed resulting in very responsive and strong power delivery. Suspension was transformed with Ohlins remote reservoir shocks in the rear, and front fork emulators with new springs, all new seals and oil in the front end. Together, it completes the performance package with a suspension system that can deliver on the track, yet is compliant and supple for street use. It works! Stainless steel brake lines and 75+ style R90S brake rotors were installed to improve braking feel and consistency up front. New Excel rims and stainless spokes really make the bike pop. Hoske mufflers add a nice sleek look and sound amazing, the baffles can be removed to really open the bike up! The race rearsets move your feet up and back nicely.Brakes were completely overhauled with rebuilt brake calipers, stainless steel lines, fresh pads, rebuilt brake master cylinder, and a new stop light switch. Rear drum brake received new shoes, springs, and hardware. Ignition system thoroughly gone through with new coils, cables, plugs, points, condenser and timing calibrated. New fuel lines all around with new fuel filters and rebuilt carburetors. Gearbox completely disassembled and overhauled with all new bearigns, seals and gaskets. Final drive also completely disassembled and overhauled with new bearings, seals and gaskets.Many other items were replaced, such as handlebars, hardware, new wiring, new grips, new switches left and right, new cables, and more.This is truly a bike that must be seen in person to appreciate. 1975 Bmw R90S, r90s - This is a 1975 R90S. It has been recently repainted. The fairing is included, but was not repainted. The battery covers, as not installed are included and have also been recently repainted. The instrument cluster is not installed, but it included. The odometer quite working about 10,000 miles ago. A luggage rack is also included, but not installed. It has new tires, fresh oil, filter and tune up, and a new starter. The bike does not include owners manuals and only comes with one key.

Several years back we had the opportunity to take his R69S in trade and like this R90S it was a restoration undertaken without regard for the dollars being spent. The only criteria was that it be perfect in every possible way from mechanical and roadworthy operation to head turning quotient at 25 feet while riding past other motorcycle enthusiasts and up close with a magnifying glass if being presented at a Concours event.Not too long ago another fine BMW dealer in the US built a reproduction R90S costing close to $50,000 by sourcing all the OEM parts possible and adding some reproduction and similar but available parts. It was an impressive machine in all possible ways for sure but it simply does not compare with this one when it comes to originality, accuracy and quality of build. And of course unlike the other machine, this is an original, matching serial numbers built in Berlin by BMW AG R90S and without a doubt one of the most sought after collectible BMW’s in the world.The images you see in this offering are of a beautiful but still to be professionally detailed bike. That will come before it is delivered to a new and caring owner.
