1973 BMW R75/5 custom motorcycle. Frame powder coated, lowered front end, good tires, 900cc engine kit, heads were rebuilt. Engine has approx. 2000 miles on it since top end re-build. Custom seat and mount, rear shocks. Rims are in good shape. Kick start only. Have re-pro coffee can taillight (not installed but wiring is all there). Wasn't sure if that was the light I was going to go with. Local bike show winner. Has sat for over a year and now has an oil leak from gasket at driveshaft and tranny shift shaft. Fuel tap leaked and messed up paint on bottom part of tank. Smokes slightly when I rode it the other day when you get on the throttle, might have just been from sitting. Clear NM title in my name Resisting due to non payer. Please do not bid if you don't intend to buy. Thanks

Let's be honest, this old Road Warrior has his scars. But, inside beats the heart of a fighter! We have gone through this bike and done a leak down check, rebuilt the carbs, spark plugs, ignition and stator, installed a new battery, air filter, replaced all the fluids and wheel bearings. This R75 runs really well and will make somebody either a great everyday companion or a strong platform to build a Scrambler. With the fork brace, cross brace handlebars, and headlight protector it already has the look of one of the early seventies scrambler conversions. Add off road tires and maybe a high pipe and it would look awesome.

1973 BMW R75-5, Comes with an extra flat cafe seat and a straight exhaust system, in case you want to change up the look. 'Thanks to their durability, dependability, and smooth handling, people are rediscovering the BMW R75 /5 series. If you’re new to the R75 /5 riding experience, you’re in for a treat. Unlike some bikes of their era, they require very little to get moving. Beyond the odd ignition key (it’s more of a nail with ridges than a key), starting an R75 /5 is fuss free. While the smaller bikes use slide-type Bing carburetors with “ticklers” for cold-starting, the R75 /5 has Bing constant-velocity carburetors. No fuel-fouled fingers on these bikes; just turn on the fuel taps, push down the choke lever on the left side of the engine and thumb the black starter button on the right handlebar, and the big twin spins to life; that’s assuming you have a healthy battery, as the huge Bosch starter will pull a less-than-charged battery down quickly.'
