The bike was restored by a late BMW expert mechanic. His name was John Flick. This BMW R60/2 is finished in black with white pinstriping and comes from the final year of production. It was restored under my ownership 3 years ago (means restoration is recent) and I have only had to service with the occasional oil change. I bought the bike 17 years ago from the original owner and it was more or less a show bike when I bought the bike. Power is from the numbers-matching 594cc opposed-twin, which is paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Equipment includes a low-rise handlebars, aluminum rims, and a bench seat. A tune-up and oil change were performed in January 2019. Clean and clear title in my name.

BMW R60/2 with Velorex sidecar. This machine is in good running condition, the sidecar is set up correctly so she handles like she should. Features include, Earles type leading link fork (ideal for sidecar use), large capacity fuel tank, dual solo seats, Metzler Block K sidecar tires, Full fairing (we are not sure about the brand, very similar to Avon Avonair fairing. Stainless steel mufflers, chrome luggage rack. A little over 19,000 indicated miles. This is the last year and the best year for the R60/2. This combination has been together many years, we sold it about ten years ago to a local customer, now we have it back. We cleaned the fuel system, changed the fluids, adjusted the valves, set the timing, installed a new battery and now she's running and riding like a good ole BMW. She's ready for a new home. We completely rebuilt the motor from the crank bearings up with new bearings, crank, pistons, complete slinger service, new valves, and gaskets and seals. The transmission, drive and final drives have been resealed and all fluids were of course replaced. New rims, spokes, and wheel bearings were installed and new drive shaft couples were also installed. The carbs were fully serviced, the engine was tuned, and new tires were installed. New foot peg rubbers and handlebars were installed as well. We are installing new head pipes to clean up the exhaust and everything has been cleaned, painted, bead blasted, or polished.The bike is in beautiful condition and runs very well.
