For sale is a 1969 BMW R60 US with 48,580 miles. This motorcycle has been very well cared for and is almost 100% original. All three serial numbers (plate, frame and motor) match. A few things to be noted: - The cylinder heads have been painted black, but they are still the original heads that came with the bike. They were painted black because the previous owner simply felt that the bike looked better that way. - The one item that is not original to the motorcycle are the handlebars. The handlebars are from a 1971-72 Triumph Bonneville. The previous owner preferred them while riding. The bike has also been prepped for storage. All gas and lines were completely drained. A small amount of oil was spread around the inside of the gas tank to prevent rust and corrosion. There were also a few drops put into the cylinders. As you can see from the pictures, the inside of the gas tank is in pristine condition. The bike has a brand new battery, which is still dry. Should the new owner decide to ride the motorcycle they would only need to put the acid into the battery and charge it. Other than the handlebars and cylinder heads the bike is completely original to my knowledge with no history of restoration. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly and I will be happy to answer them for you. $10,000.00 802-673-9474
