This 1960 R69 BMW motorcycle has original matching numbers. It has been completely restored, from the ground up. The frame and swing arms were stripped, zinc primed, and powder coated and then scuffed with 300 grit paper and painted along with the sheet metal to make the color scheme of the bike totally consistent. Powder coat product is never the exact color of the final paint. The fenders and remaining sheet metal were media blasted and repaired, welded where needed, primed and BSAF paint applied. Hand pin striping was done by Mark Weld. All chrome parts were re-chromed. Aluminum was professionally polished. This R69 has been owned by me for a short time and has 1,640 miles on the speedometer. It has has been stored in a heated facility since I restored it and I have I have done all of the maintenance service. Original and NOS parts were used where possible. Modifications and/or Repairs: Engine, transmission, and final drive were totally disassembled and evaluatedNew pistons, valves, guides and all new bearings and seals were installed including the correct rear main spherical bearing which was customary on the R50S, R69 and the R69S.Cases were media blasted and clear coated with Eastwood Clear Satin Hi Temp Sealer to prevent oxidationA correct rear spherical bearing was installedShocks were dismantled and rebuilt with new cartridges and rubbersSwing arms received properly packed and lubed bearings and sealsWheel hubs were media blasted and coated with clear satin to prevent oxidationNew wheel bearings were properly shimmed and seals replacedWheels were laced with new stainless spokes, newly polished Weinmann Hi lip rims and trued with the proper offsetNew Heidenau tires and tubes, 350-18, were mounted and balancedCarburetors were dismantled and soda blastedA new wiring harness, seals, grommets, gaskets, switches, bulbs were addedCarburetors were totally reconditioned by Barrington Motor Works, cleaned, fitted with all new parts and vacuum ports for easier balancing and adjustment. This bike has a 12 volt charging system made by Bench Mark Works and a 12 volt sealed battery.Bar end Hella signals, Albert headlight mirrors and a chrome headlight guard were addedSpeedometer was totally rebuilt by Foreign Speedometer with a new bezel and set to 00000New cables and battery were installedDenfeld solo seat, tank rosettes, and new emblems were addedThe bike received fresh lubricants with 30 weight non-detergent break-in oil in the crankcase.New header pipes, hangers and stock BMW mufflers were installed.Original and new-old-stock parts were used where possibleDetails of this complete restoration and others can be seen at airheadrestorations

2000 BMW R 1100 S, Beautiful and well maintained 2000 BMW R1100S for Sale. I am the second owner of this bike and have personally put over 36K miles on it. Bought in Oregon in 2001, Ive really enjoyed riding this bike. Whether chasing a GSX-R, Yamaha R1 or putting in an 8 hour touring day, this bike does it all. I recently had the bike serviced at Budds BMW of Oakville, Ontario, Canada in the amount of $2000. 35K checkup, front fork seal repair, new battery and rear tire. About 5 years ago I had the clutch rebuilt and the ABS is in working order. The bike comes with BMW bag mounts and factory bags. The VIN number for this bike is actually OR71541. The frame was broken by the first owner at around 1700 miles. A new factory frame was installed and that is why it has a funny VIN. The paperwork is legitimate and you should have no problems. The bike is currently registered, insured and inspected. Pros: In absolutely perfect running order with no money to be spent in foreseeable future. Rare black color BMW service history Garaged Cons: Worn left handlebar grip Small scratch on right side by handlebar Small scratch on right side cylinder head Missing roundel on one side of factory travel bags Odd VIN number I have a truck and ramp and can deliver the bike within 250 miles of Buffalo, NY at $2 a mile. This is a super clean very well maintained motorcycle that you would be lucky to own! $4,200.00
