Before we get into this story, this PROJECT BIKE does not come with a title. It's one of those exceptional rare situations we elect to work with. We got it on a bill of sale from a local resident who just wanted it to go away. We believed him to be honest and he gave us all his contact info (we are not legally allowed to re-share that however) and so we too will sell it on a bill of sale. We would not have taken it in if we did not feel comfortable about reselling it to you.If you elect to put this PROJECT BIKE back on the road we'd suggest going through the title process before spending any other money. It's simply the smart way to do things, sort of like getting a bike running before re-painting it. We've seen costs for this at title companies run from a low of $150 to a high of $350 and you can probably do it all yourself.The person who delivered this PROJECT BIKE hooked up a fresh battery the day before delivering it and told us it cranked easily but there was some fuel leaking under the tank (you can see the stains) and it did not want to start. We can surmise that this is due to the fuel pump being bad and maybe the injectors being clogged or more little starting issues related to the fuel system.
