Just turned 20,000 mi. Accessories include original plastic saddle bags and aftermarket windshield. Recently tuned-up & is in excellent running condition. Fork seals have been replaced at 15,000 mi & Rear Tire was new at 17,000 mi. The K75 model is a shaft driven, water cooled, 750CC with electronic fuel injection. Before we get into this story, this PROJECT BIKE does not come with a title. It's one of those exceptional rare situations we elect to work with. We got it on a bill of sale from a local resident who just wanted it to go away. We believed him to be honest and he gave us all his contact info (we are not legally allowed to re-share that however) and so we too will sell it on a bill of sale. We would not have taken it in if we did not feel comfortable about reselling it to you.If you elect to put this PROJECT BIKE back on the road we'd suggest going through the title process before spending any other money. It's simply the smart way to do things, sort of like getting a bike running before re-painting it. We've seen costs for this at title companies run from a low of $150 to a high of $350 and you can probably do it all yourself.The person who delivered this PROJECT BIKE hooked up a fresh battery the day before delivering it and told us it cranked easily but there was some fuel leaking under the tank (you can see the stains) and it did not want to start. We can surmise that this is due to the fuel pump being bad and maybe the injectors being clogged or more little starting issues related to the fuel system.

It's been a while since we had a K75S as a PROJECT BIKE here at Bob's and we're pleased that while it needs some attention and TLC, this one runs solid, has a currently working ABS system that might be worth the asking price alone and has decent cosmetics in a desirable color and some nice extra feature and all the net proceeds go to a very worthwhile good cause, the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation who sponsors the Ride for Kids® program. This superb non-profit 501c3 listed organization is a regular recipient of our customers generosity and our hard work.

ABS. Important to know. K75S with ABS. BMW factory comfort seat. New Rear tire. New sealed battery, always on Battery Tender. Aeroflow tall windshield. Koni adjustable shock. BMW hard bags. One so-so, the other perfect. Both can and are used by me. Only the second owner. Only 75,000 mostly highway miles. Bought from, and serviced by Speed's Cycle, in Elkridge, Md. Follow and exceed BMW service reqiurements. Front tire has about 7-10,000 miles left on it. Bike is always covered and kept in a carport, out of the elements, when not in use. Needs nothing. Oil has always been Amsoil fully synthetic 20-50. Selling because I am now retired, (66) and no longer take long trips on the bike. Personal inspections and test rides are welcome. I live in the Washington, DC metro area. Bike can be shipped or ridden home.Remember, it is a water cooled BMW. So, 75,000 miles are just the beginning. 1993 BMW K75, This is perhaps the most beautiful, exceptionally well cared for, one owner, standard K75 that has ever arrived at Bob’s since around 1998. This machine is going to make one very particular and patient new owner very happy. While we frequently get superbly fine offerings in the way of these classic machine it’s rare that a nearly perfect original cosmetic and mechanical example arrives. What we know to be “original” condition is often very different from others loosely refer to when using that word. This one came in with but two changes, other than accessories, from the stock build, one you can see and one you can’t. We’ll disclose both in the following story.

1987 BMW K75S, For us that’s exciting because it means someone with more time and expertise, or at least desire, to turn wrenches, than has funds can take on the variety of tasks needed to return this machine to safe, roadworthy and ultimately enjoyable use. We are confident that despite a few noticeable cosmetic challenges which can also be managed by a novice, this machine has a solid heart and several decades and tens if not hundreds of thousands of miles of service ahead.
