Has BMW's telelever front suspension (no dive when braking), shaft drive (low maintenance), and anti-lock brakes.
This bike has several upgrades: BMW factory alarm with key fob remote, HID headlight, Spiegler stainless steel brake lines, Fiamm horns, headlight flasher (high beam).
Includes custom painted saddlebags and 5.5" sport rear wheel in addition to stock 5" rear wheel. Bags lock closed and lock to bike with ignition key.
This bike has been in storage for the last 10 years. Has new oil/filter, fuel pump/filter, and battery. Runs great. The tires are old and should be replaced, otherwise ready to ride.

This bright Piedmont Red Metallic example is a great and operable PROJECT BIKE that will require very little to get back on the road in totally safe and roadworthy shape. In fact it's almost there now! The K12RS is a fantastic sport/sport touring machine and has a long history of pleasing its owners over the years. The lucky buyer who grabs this one should get great value for the money spent for many years and miles ahead.And while it is a PROJECT BIKE there is plenty of value here and nearly a turnkey purchase that simply does not meet or insanely high standards for what we'd classify as a good used or ADVANTAGE CERTIFED offering. Not everyone will even care about the small to medium array of minor scrapes and nicks the prior owner accumulated, touched up but selected to not address on a high cosmetic level – some people just like to ride.
We feel this machine is a great PROJECT BIKE to get back on the road and have a ton of fun with because the K12RS is a fantastic sport/sport touring machine. Period. This example arrived in a very high cosmetic level rating after completing our very picky evaluation process.But it does not run because it's been sitting unused for the last 18 or so months. That's why it's a PROJECT BIKE. But because it has such low original mileage and is so beautiful we are confident someone will want to take it on, make the investment, get it back on the road and have a lot of FUN.
2002 BMW K1200RS, Freshly serviced with Engine oil & filter, Trans, & Final drive oil (all synthetic), new battery, and fresh Michelin tires. This bike features ABS brakes, cruise control, heated grips, saddlebags, and a factory BMW Tank bag (not pictured).
