A superb sport touring motorcycle from Aprilia. This has been a great bike for me for the past 8 years. I bought the bike from the original owner with about 30k on it. Sensible ergos make it at home both in the twisties or gobbling up miles on the slab. The Futura has the best headlights I've had in the dozen bikes I've owned. The stock saddle is amazingly all-day comfortable for rider and pillion. I've taken the bike regularly to NC and it's longest trip was from Texas. Having riden in 100degree days and through hail-storms, the windshield strikes a good balance between shielding and ventilation. As a bonus, the Futura has no hot-spots for the rider during stop-and-go traffic. The Futura's curb weight of 520lb (wet) is the same as the VFR but the bulletproof Rotax 998cc puts out 10% more hp and 30% more torque that is supremely tractable. The slipper clutch works, this is an easy bike to ride (quickly). However, it shares the engine with the Tuono and Mille and a degree of discipline and respect is prudent.It currently has 50, 551 miles and counting. This is a well-sorted machine; I wouldn't hesitate to fly-and-ride her home. New buyer gets a fresh oil change and dinner.

I'm selling my Aprilia Futura motorcycle. 2003 Aprilia Futura RST 1000 The bike has many new parts, and has been recently had a major service, New oil, oil filter, air filter, coolant, spark plug, coils, fuel filter and pump. Also new wiring harness in the fuel tank, replaced stator , rectifier, crank shaft sensor, air control motor, new stainless steel fuel disconnect. The valve adjustment was also done. Had the front fork seals replaced about 15k miles as the clutch fluid drained and service. The service and the new parts on the bike would cost more than what I'm selling the bike for. The bike needs new tires and brake pads. The reason I'm selling the bike is because I bought a new and smaller bike to commute with. I commuted back and forth to work daily for almost 4 years with this bike,

Here for sale is My 2001 Aprilia Futura RST1000, it's truly a charm to ride but I am moving overseas. This is a fully equipped sport-touring style motorcycle that includes nicely-sized hard cases and a large tank bag. This motorcycle was ahead of its time, hence the name, and has plenty of capability for its cost. The reliable V-Twin is known to be bulletproof and has more than enough get up and go. Brand new Michelin Pilot 2's were fitted at 47,116 miles as well as a new rear brake pad. Mods include an aftermarket exhaust, side stand bypass, and removal of the brown connecter (that was known to fail). The only notable issue is, understandably, slight wear and tear of the paint that one could expect after 40k+ miles, and is really only noticeable on the mirror covers. Do some research and you'll find that this bike is truly a steal of a deal and there is also a thriving forum group with passionate Futura owners who are very helpful. 2002 Aprilia Rst FUTURA, Rare bike with low miles. It only has 8800 miles currently, but that will go up as I ride it whenever possible. The bike has never been down, but there are some light scratches on the side of each fairing and mirrors. The previous owner told me that the original owner had some plywood fall over on it in the garage. This bike has a very comfortable seat on it. I just put a new Yuasa battery in it last week and it's ready to ride. The tires are in great shape and the oil was recently changed. $4,200.00
