Bad neighbors and good dreams don't mix very well. Up for sale is my 1939 American Bantam Roadster project. I rescued this after being stored for decades and used as a parts car. I had started sourcing parts for it and but now need to sell it due to a lack of storage. The car comes as you see it with the patch for the rear deck. The car is missing the metal which covers the wood on the drivers side of the door sill and the door latch catch pieces. The wood in the car appears to be in nice shape and many of the complex body lines have not been touched by rot. There is some rot along the beading of the cowl that shouldn't be too hard to fix and the floors are basically gone. Amazingly, NEW floor pans and package trays are available for these cars! The front grille has torn in the usual places. The car has no drive line except for the rear end. The rear wheels are locked up and I have not had the chance to free them up yet. The rims need to be replaced all the way around. I have other parts for this car which I have collected that may be made available to the buyer for purchase. The sale of this car includes one year of membership in the Austin Bantam Society and the American Austin Bantam Club if the winning bidder is not already a member of those clubs. This car DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE and comes with a bill of sale only and is in AS-IS condition with NO warranty. Buyer is responsible for all shipping and handling costs and must make arrangements to pay for and pickup the car within 10 days from the action end unless other arrangements are made with the seller. Buyer is responsible for paying a deposit of $500 within 24 hours of the end of auction. Full payment must clear before the car can be shipped or released. Thank you for looking!
