Thanks to a revised crankcase, the weight is reduced for 2014. DDS CLUTCH The 450 employs the KTM-developed DDS clutch (damped diaphragm steel) with a wear-free steel basket and extremely heat resistant clutch plates. This design is distinguished by employing a diaphragm spring instead of the usual coil springs, which makes for a considerably easier clutch action. Strengthened for 2014, the diaphragm spring also leaves sufficient space for a damping system integrated into the clutch hub, which benefits both traction and durability. A stronger inner hub further increases stability. The hydraulic Brembo clutch mechanism with a new master cylinder guarantees a light operation and highly controllable modulation of the clutch. BALANCER SHAFT In order to balance the mass-forces, the 450 engine uses a multifunctional counter balance shaft which also drives the water pump and timing chain. In 2014, a new three-layer head gasket is used that guarantees more durability under the most extreme conditions. In addition, the camshaft has received a strengthened auto-decompression mechanism. AIR BOX The airbox design offers maximum protection of the air filter against dirt while ensuring maximum airflow for top performance. The Twin Air filter can be changed without tools in seconds, a standard for KTM. Original owner. Have all factory paperwork and manuals from dealer. Bike has been used a couple times a year for desert trips only. The XC-F has a fifth gear, electric start, and kickstand. Very low hours and meticulously maintained. FMF muffler, new chain and sprockets, valves just adjusted. Won't find a 2008 with less hours. Growing family forces sale (looking to get something more family friendly) otherwise I would just keep it.
For sale 2009 KTM 450 xc-f . One of the cleanest bikes of this year you'll see on here. XCF is basically the SXF model with different suspension, so its fast. I'm an overkill when it comes to maintenance plus I get bored a lot so I strip this thing down and clean it with a toothbrush more than I should, only used the KTM recommended overpriced oil on every oil change. Electric start, 5 speed, hydraulic clutch, 18 inch rear wheel. Shorai lithium ion battery (120 bucks) and I have NEVER ONCE had an issue with it starting, cold weather, high elevation, always starts. Cycra probend handguards, Renthal rear sprocket and chain just put on, will probably need a new back tire soon but you could manage without one. Front tire has lots of life left. FMF exhaust sounds great. Skid plate. Gripper seat cover. High flow water pump because it used to run hot in the technical stuff never have an issue with it now. Whole box full of parts for it too,Really, really hate to sell this but because of a recent supermoto purchase bills need to be paid. I'll be sure to keep your number handy because once I get ready to buy another dirt bike I might just want this one back.. 4000 gets you this pretty lady, owners manual, service manual, full tank of nothin but the best 91 octane gas, extra quart of oil( plus all the oil thats in her now), box o' parts, and nothing but jealous people lookin at the back of your truck on the way home.
