2016 KTM 300 XC-W Six Days, 2016 KTM 300 XC-W Six Days WHEN THE CHIPS ARE DOWN No other brand is represented in offroad sports with a history of success that can even compare to that of KTM. The special edition Six Days models celebrate this success with special performance upgrades and top-of-the-line components. In 2015 the ISDE (International Six Days of Enduro) will be held in Slovakia, and the KTM model line-up has been suitably equipped to handle anything the muddy and rocky terrain can throw at it. Features May Include: AIRBOX The airbox on the KTM 300 XC-W Six Days allows maximum air to pass through, but minimal dust and spray. Replacement of the twin-air filter takes approx. 15 seconds, without any tools. Absolutely "READY TO RACE". OPTIMISED ENGINE The powerful KTM 300 XC-W Six Days engine fitted with 6-speed transmission and electric starter unites an unbeatable 2-Stroke power-to-weight ratio with outstanding performance and responsive handling. BODYWORK The KTM 300 XC-W Six Days has bodywork with extremely slim ergonomics and excellent contact points between rider and machine. It provides unlimited freedom of movement. HANDLEBAR All XC-W models are fitted with the super strong, tapered Neken handlebars made of high tensile strength aluminum alloy. The proven standard KTM mount allows the handlebar to be fixed in four different positions. The open hand guards are serial equipment providing optimum protection of the rider's hands. INDIVIDUAL SUSPENSION SETTING Each XC-W model has its own individual suspension settings, optimally tuned to weight and engine. At the rear, a PDS shock absorber from WP Suspension works with a direct linkage to the upper side of the swingarm. The wide range of setting options for rebound damping and high- and low-speed compression damping are standard on KTM bikes. TELESCOPIC FORK The KTM Six Days models are equipped with a 48 mm 4CS closed-cartridge fork from WP Suspension. The 4-chamber technology (4CS) patented by WP not only provides a key benefit in terms of responsiveness and consistent damping characteristics, it is also lighter and oil services prove to be far simpler than on conventional closed-cartridge versions. Suspension settings can easily be adapted to the terrain and rider in a matter of a few clicks at the top of the fork: compression damping on the left-hand shaft, rebound damping on the right - another advantage of the 4CS technology. FRAME The modern frame design of the 300 XC-W Six Days, comprising lightweight, high strength, chrome-molybdenum steel section tubes, combines maximum longitudinal stiffness with optimum torsional stiffness. 2016 KTM 300 XC, 2016 KTM 300 XC Unrivalled Power-To-Weight Ratio With enough power to excel on all sorts of tracks and terrain, combined with an extremely lightweight chassis, the 300 XC has one of the best power-to-weight ratios in it's class. The unrivalled power-to-weight ratio of the lightweight 2-stroke engine makes it a true contender against the more complex 4-strokes. For MY 2016 the 300 XC features detail improvements and new colors and graphics, but basically retains the same chassis and engine specification as MY 2015. Features May Include: ENGINE The powerful KTM 300 SX engine unites an unbeatable power-to-weight ratio with outstanding performance and extremely easy handling. CYLINDER The cylinder of the 300 XC is fitted with a sophisticated TVC (Twin Valve Control) power valve, providing adjustable power characteristics. The power character can be changed within a few seconds thanks to two supplied springs for different tracks and rider preference. CLUTCH The KTM DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch is fitted with a diaphragm spring, which allows implementation of an internal rubber damping system. Together with a lightweight steel basket and the Brembo hydraulic system the DDS clutch offers maximum reliability, excellent modulation and light lever pull. LINKAGE/SHOCKABSORBER The linkage system of the 300 XC features a progressive curve with a high initial rate ensuring good stability. The high-end WP 5018 shock absorber guarantees outstanding response and damping characteristics. Compression and rebound damping can be adjusted to the track conditions and the rider's preferences. HANDLEBAR The 300 XC is equipped with a tapered handlebar made of high-strength aluminum by NEKEN, which is fixed in a new rubber damped handlebar clamp allowing the handlebar to be mounted in two different positions. A new, larger handlebar pad protects the rider in case of a crash. AIRBOX At the same time, the design of the airbox guarantees optimum protection of the air filter from dirt plus maximum airflow for the highest performance. Quick replacement of the Twin Air filter, without tools and in a matter of seconds, has long been an unrivalled KTM standard. BRAKES High-tech Brembo brakes have always been standard equipment on KTM off-road bikes, and now are combined with newly designed and weight-reduced Wave discs made by GALFER featuring improved heat resistance. Weight reduction is 63g on the front disc, and 32 g for the rear. This is the ultimate solution in braking technology. WHEELS The 300 XC is fitted with lightweight, CNC-machined hubs, high-end Giant rims and black spokes with lightweight aluminum nipples providing maximum stability at minimum weight. The latest Dunlop Geomax AT81 tires guarantee perfect traction and outstanding performance.
