I bought this Dual Sport new so I could explore the trails around Larch Mountain and east of Woodland.I've done that and my wife says I'm too old to ride trails anymore (I'm 68) and she's probably right.A week after I bought it I had the dealer replace the stock rear suspension link with a lowering link and they lowered the front forks as far as they would go (about 1 1/2") because the stock seat height is 37" and I have 34" legs. Now I can have both feet flat on the ground when stopped. The stock gear ratio is better suited to road riding than trail riding so they also put a 1 tooth smaller sprocket on the front and a 2 tooth larger sprocket on the rear, which allowed the use of the stock chain.I also mounted and wired a Garmin GPS holder and a float charger connection.I'm a mechanic so I know the importance of changing the oil and filter early and often. I changed them at 102 miles and again at 211 miles with Amsoil 10W30 motorcycle oil. It now has 297 miles on it.I bought the bike new from Pro Caliber Motorsports in Longview on 7/15/14 and paid $7548.70 including tax and license. Then a week later I paid $190.03 for the lowering link, lowering the forks and swapping the sprockets; and $53.95 for the factory service manual. The stock rear link and both stock sprockets, along with 4 new oil filters, the GPS mount, float charger connection and the service manual are all included in this sale. This is an air cooled single cylinder, SOHC with 4 valves, a larger bore than stroke and an 8.3:1 compression ratio so it should pretty much run forever. The Honda website says it gets 52 mpg and has 13" of ground clearance. In the photo the sun was setting so it looks a little orangish, but it's red.I don't text and only check emails morning and evening so please call 360-258-6383.
