This pretty lady needs a new home. She's the fairly rare XJ550R Seca model. Max of +/- 100mph, and makes a good daily commuter or weekend traveler. She's taken me all over MN. She's a bike that can't sit in the garage for months on end without proper storage prep. Anyone looking to buy her needs to actually drive her and take care of her. There's more photos for anyone enquiring about her.No test rides or sale without motorcycle license and proof of rider insurance. selling my custom bike. everything works, starts and runs great. must see to appreciate.engine has roughly 800 miles on it. i got it with 600 miles and put on 112 miles since finishing the project. i'm selling it because i never have time to use it. the swingarm, front and rear suspension, wheels, engine, and electronics are from 1989 yamaha radian 600. the frame, fuel tank, tail, and side covers are from 1981 yamaha seca 550. battery, oil change, k&n air filter, new carb boots and carb synch. new swingarm bearings, front and rear wheel bearings, and new tapered steering stem bearings. progressive fork springs, new chain and sprocket. aftermarket parts - koso gauge with head temp, oil temp, fuel gauge, neutral light, turn signal indicator. renthal fatbar handlebar, crg bar end mirror, rox risers, radial front brake master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, driven grips, and driven bar ends.powder coated rims, valve cover, engine side covers, front forks, upper and lower triple trees, exhaust.if this post is up, the bike is still available

This bike is in good condition - ready to ride! Fantastic beginner bike, especially if you like getting to know how a bike works, inside & out! It has a center stand, two keys, really comfortable seat, and I am including the saddle bags (pictured) and extra spark plugs. Clean title on hand. I prefer cash only, $1300-OBO. It was just serviced by Motorcycle Mania in Chicago. I have the receipt to prove all part improvements and servicing recently done. I recently moved here from Chicago and brought the bike with me. I am working on making the altitude adjustments. There is a scratch on the gas tank, missing horn button, and small rust hole on the exhaust pipe (dime size). Other than that it's a really fun ride!!

for sale is a 1981 Yamaha XJ550RH Seca in good running and driving condition, good tires, new battery, has been painted blue (not best job), seat needs cover but foam core is good, has a single disc front brake and a drum rear, all lights and blinkers work, right mirror is cracked all chrome in good shape. engine runs strong, no smoke, will need chain and sprockets soon, has open after market open air cleaners and 4 into 1 Viper shorty exhaust loud and proud sounding. Rare bike to find in this great of condition. Rides nice and smooth. Clean title in my name. Registration good through 9/8/16. 1982 Yamaha Xj550 MAXIM,8k mile........I have two of these bikes the other one is a 81 I've been using it for a parts bike.....I'm letting them go together. I've had the 82 running the other day it will need an oil change maybe some carb cleaner ran through it and the chain lubed and adjusted. 1982 Yamaha Xj550 MAXIM, For Sale: A 1982 Yamaha XJ550RJ. This is a "Project Bike" purchase by my son several years ago, but he was unable to secure parts for it due to its age. It ran when it was put in storage, but has not been started in several years and needs a new clutch.
