Rare 1951 German Made Triumph TWN BDG 125 German made. $5500 OR BEST OFFER. The Triumph motorcycles started in England in 1902 to the present day by a German gentleman. They were also made in Germany from 1903 to 1957. The German models went by several different names. In 1951 the name went back to Triumph or TWN "Triumph Werke Nuremburg" This is a model BDG. The BDG's came as 250 cc and 125cc. These bikes are very popular in Germany and parts are readily available through several different sites. This bike started as a complete bike. It went through a complete nut and bolt restoration, including a complete motor and transmission rebuild, frame powder coating, and tank and fenders paint. There is a lot of re-chroming. The only draw-back is there are a few minor flaws, slight scratches in the paint. Some touch-up paint would fix it fairly well. It is 100% original except for the custom made leather seat. There is a new OEM seat included. There is a new wiring harness, all new cables, and a new battery. Things left to do are install the new wiring harness (included), and hook up the clutch cable. It is mostly together with only a few new parts needed: Rear axle (A vintage BSA axle was used, it's too wide but works), Rubber grips on the rear passenger pegs, Tank Knee Pad bracket (new knee pads included), Tires (New tires but they are not vintage correct. They are the correct size 2. 75x19 but they are too wide and may rub the fender slightly. The correct tires are about $140 each.), and a few small odds and ends such as a little arm that attaches to the clutch cable and motor. I have a pile of extra parts. Buyer will probably have one of the rarest and most unique Triumphs in the Country. It comes with an owners manual and a parts booklet. Sold with a Bill-of-Sale, but no title (this was a vintage restoration). This is a real conversation piece. It could be put on display in a man cave, or taken out to ride.**Local buyers preferred. However, if shipping is needed, buyer is responsible for cost and arrangements. Will accept cash (in person only) or cashiers check. No personal checks accepted. Serious inquiries only!
This bike is SUPER RAW! Stripped down, elegant and simple. The 650cc twin has just 1 Amal Concentric Carb and is a mechanical dream to maintain as it is simple and bare bones as they come. 1968 was an AWESOME year for this engine. Major upgrades were made throughout. I encourage you to check out this website to read more about the the TR6R (formally known as the Triumph Trophy and later dubbed the Tiger) :// /1968-triumph-tr6.htmlThis bike is titled by the frame which is actually a T120. It has been PERFECTLY hard tailed and the 1967 TR6R 650cc engine sits gorgeously within the modified frame. This bike truly looks as though it rolled right out of the factory made to look like this. There are no inconsistencies and seamless flowing lines, making it appear to look like a "natural" bobber. Raw gun metal frame and tank can be left or painted (we are a fan of leaving it). While this bike is undeniably beautiful and runs flawlessly, it is still not recommended for the faint of heart or someone brand hammer new to the world of motorcycles. It is kickstart only, the foot controls are reversed (as is with all pre-1975 British Motorcycles and Harley's), and this bike is rear brake only and will require and experienced rider who is comfortable and familiar with engine braking. Regular maintenance cannot be put off or ignored on bikes of this age.The Frame Number T120 DU75836 (1968)The Engine Number: TR6R DU64351 (1967)Stop by GarageTRS Tues-Sat 11am-7pm to check this bike out along with many other others.
