I'm listing a 2007 R1 with all the expected extras. 13,300 miles and it'll go up as I ride, but no big trips planned atm. It's been adult owned and well maintained. It's been ridden hard but never abused. I love riding the twisties, not a drag racer from stop light to stop light or bouncing the motor off the rev limiter. All factory plastics and never been down. Just changed oil, brake fluid isn't bad so I'll wait on that. Tires probably have 2500 miles on them. They were new last season but I didn't get out much, unfortunately. I have no desire to sell it, but I have a good deal on the table for getting in to another bike right now. If that falls through I'll pull the listing. I'm open to offers, but I'm not highly motivated to sell. As always though, cash talks! *extras*Full Akrapovic Ti Evolution exhaust - Headers, Y pipe, and carbon fiber mufflers. Don't see a lot of these on the roads. Can't buy this system anymore, and if you're not familiar with the brand, they make the majority of systems for the MotoGP bikes. Power Commander V - with stock Akra tune. Dunlop Q3's - fantastic tires, I've had this up in the NC mountains a lot and love these on cold or hot tarmac.HID low beams - slim ballasts, and amber color. CRG RC2 adjustable levers - gold finishK&N race filterStock gears and chain - just lubed it for the new season. Sprockets still in good shape.Smoked flush turn signals, smoked integrated tail light, fender eliminator with the plate tucked cleanly above the rear tire, and tinted Puig wind screen. She looks sleek and sounds amazing! She's a 10 year old bike, and you'll struggle to finder a cleaner machine. If you're looking for a deal, then I'm afraid this probably isn't the one. The all new R1 provides racers and enthusiast sport riders with a taste of what it would be like to ride the race winning Yamaha M1. A showcase of Yamaha's technology leadership, the all new R1 raises the bar with its uncompromised performance and handling.Engine FeaturesAll new, ultra-lightweight, compact, 998cc, DOHC, 16-valve (4-valves / cyl.), liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder engine with "cross plane" style crankshaft.The key components of this cutting edge engine design are the "cross plane" crankshaft and an uneven firing order. Both of these features are used on Yamaha's race winning M1 MotoGP racer. The R1 cross plane crankshaft locates the center two rods at a 90 degree plane from the outer cylinders. This means instead of the crank pins aligned on the same plane (a straight line drawn through the center of the crankshaft), they align on 2 planes in the form of a cross ... or "cross plane". Working in conjunction with the cross plane crank is an uneven firing order. This R1 engine fires 1,3,2,4 cylinders and the firing intervals are uneven at 270 / 180/ 90 /180 degrees. What all this means to the rider is the most linear torque possible and amazing throttle control. This engine design allows a whole new level of rider - machine communication. One of the most important benefits is the outstanding cornering performance that increased engine control allows.The key engineering goal for the new R1 is increased power with excellent controllability. Horsepower increases have been gained through increased intake air volume, reduced internal friction and weight reductions. The new R1 is a "rider's machine".New, 4-valve cylinder head design features new compact pent roof combustion chambers that utilize lightweight titanium valves on the intake side. The 4-valve design optimizes breathing efficiency and overall engine performance. Combustion chamber volume is carefully monitored to ensure exact volume for maximum power.New, larger valves for 2015. Titanium intake valves are 33mm in diameter ('14 = 31mm) while the steel exhaust valves are 26.5 mm in diameter ('14 = 25mm). The lightweight titanium intake valves reduce reciprocating weight allowing for higher rpms without the concern of valve float.New intake port shape provides maximum filling efficiency. The port shape, valve placement and combustion chamber shape induce a tumbling effect of the inbound fuel - air charge that increases combustion speed, power and torque.13:1 compression ratioAll new "finger follower rocker arms" are used.
