SHIPMENT IS VIA FORWARD AIR GROUND DELIVERY LIFT GATE TRUCK. SORRY NO SALES TO MN,HI,AK Yamaha is pleased to announce the introduction of the all-new YZ250FX. The YZ250FX shares the YZ250F and WR250F engine, frame and suspension but is designed as a cross country racer and does not come with lights, speedo, bashplate or a radiator fan – and so is 4kg lighter than new 2015 WR250F. The new YZ250FX engine is based closely on the winning fuel-injected YZ250F design, and features a rearward-inclined cylinder and reverse cylinder head. With its airbox situated in front of the rider and the fuel tank located at the centre of the bike, this unique configuration contributes towards the bike's mass centralisation, which plays a pivotal role in achieving the light and agile handling for which the 2014 YZ250F is renowned. In terms of overall engine specification, the YZ250FX retains the same bore x stroke, compression ratio, cam profile, forged aluminium piston and carburised crankshaft as the YZ250F, combined with a dedicated YZ250FX ECU, gives the YZ250FX a high level of winning performance. The YZ250FX is equipped with a newly developed 6-speed transmission that is designed to handle a wide variety of terrain, from technical rock climbs to full throttle blasting along forest tracks. To complement its new wide ratio 6-speed transmission the YZ250FX is fitted with a special enduro clutch with specifications to match the extreme demands of enduro or cross country riding. The YZ250FX's bilateral beam frame is closely based on the design so successfully used on the winning YZ250F. Manufactured entirely from aluminium, this compact and lightweight design contributes significantly towards the YZ250FX's feeling of lightness, agility and easy directional changes. In order to optimise the YZ250F motocross chassis design for enduro use, the 2015 YZ250FX's frame features new engine mounting brackets that give a revised balance of rigidity more suited to the demands of enduro riding. YZ250FX is also equipped with a YZ250F shorty muffler and slightly firmer suspension settings. Some other minor YZ250FX parts such as front brake master cylinder and wheel axles are also from the YZ250F while the rear sprocket has an extra tooth (13/51 ratio) compared to WR250F to give the YZ250FX more explosive acceleration. As with the YZ250F and WR250F, riders looking to fine tune their YZ250FX's power delivery are now able to plug the optional Yamaha Power Tuner accessory directly into their bike - without the need for a laptop - and make adjustments to suit the prevailing track conditions and their riding style. There will also be an optional Cross Country kit available for YZ250FX that includes an aluminium bashplate, handguards, rearview mirror, lights and a horn. This will allow the model to qualify for recreational registration in VIC due to local laws. 2015 YZ250FX Highlights Potent YZ250F-based rearward slanted fuel injected engineWide ratio 6-speed transmission with enduro clutchEasy-access top-mounted air filter with quick-release fastenersCompact bi-lateral aluminium beam frameCentral positioned 7.5L fuel tankOptimal mass centralisation for quick directional changesTunable engine characteristic via the optional Power tuner accessory Yamaha is pleased to announce the introduction of the all-new YZ250FX.
