Although I’d love to justify keeping it, my 2014 Super Tenere has to go. It’s in perfect shape, with 8xxx miles of primarily commuting riding. The 600, 4k and 8k services have been performed by a certified technician using Genuine Yamaha parts and Yamalube semi-synthetic oil. The OE tires have just been replaced with a fresh pair as well. Your next regular service isn’t until 12,000 miles, and the first major service isn’t until 26,000 miles. So buy it, and go ride! // It's a plush, comfortable bike with very good – and highly adjustable – suspension. It excels at touring and commuting. Wind protection is adjustable, with clean airflow. Thanks to paired counterbalancers, the engine is very smooth, and you’ll see an average fuel economy over 45 mpg in regular riding. Plus: cruise control! // The engine is tuned for low-end torque, so it’s like a diesel in the way it simply climbs out of low rpm, while the 2014 engine updates give it a better top-end pull. // The radiator is hidden from danger, electronics are smartly packaged, and the whole bike is built to be bomb-proof. // You have two engine modes. Sport (S) is great for technical riding – including dirt work – while Touring (T) is obviously more suited for cruising. Traction control is well-mapped, adjustable, and can be disabled. // ABS is always on, but can be disabled if you are determined enough. It works decently, even in dirt, thanks to a smart front-to-back brake link (UBS) and good programming. // Shaft drive is wonderful, and you still get a centerstand, too. // The “all-glass” instruments are clear and legible, and nearly everything is controlled by bar-mounted switchgear, including the fitted factory heated grips (MSRP $400). The bike also comes equipped with Yamaha’s accessory skidplate (MSRP $220) and the skidplate extensions (MSRP $290) from the European ‘World Crosser’ submodel. (If you’re interested, I can look into fitting other factory accessories before or after you take delivery, at very attractive pricing.) // NADA says this bike is worth an “average retail price” of $11,700. This one also comes with an additional 4 years of Y.E.S. coverage worth $700 that is transferable to you. So let’s start around $12,000, and we can discuss details in person. Test rides with conditions, full payment only, etc. etc.
