2004 Yamaha Royal Star VENTURE, At less than $6K, this is priced to sell. KBB & NADA suggest list up to $7200. I'm a private seller who just wants to get more than the $5500 which a dealer offered as a trade in value. Yamaha Royal Star Midnight Venture XVZ13TF is a 1300 cc Liquid Cooled V-4 with plenty of passing power at highway speeds even when fully loaded with a passenger and head winds. It is a 5-speed shaft drive with OD, heal/toe shifter, and electronic cruise control. AM/FM/Cassette has an auxiliary port for convenient connection to I-pod, MP3, or music on your phone. (A foam can coozie fits nicely on the gas cap and holds your phone, I-pod, garage door opener, or water bottle too.) With 2 front speakers and 2 rear speakers, it is easy to hear the music even with a helmet at highway speeds. The windshield offers comfort to both rider and passenger. The luggage rack on the trunk allows for more bags when traveling with a passenger. The Clearview windshield is wider than stock and has a 5-position vent. Windshield was purchased just 5K miles ago. Accessories may include custom canvas saddlebag and trunk inserts plus extra passenger backrest with longer arm rests. It has a custom center stand installed since the factory model doesn't include a center stand. I also have an extra set of "dog bones" which are easy to install if you have shorter legs and need to lower the bike. I am including a pair of radio headsets (mic and speakers) which plug directly into the bike for music and communication. Both rider and passenger cords connect to the stock system on the bike. New rear tire and brakes were installed at 45K miles, with the front tire and brakes a year before that, so they still have plenty of life. The bike has 53,000 miles and still going strong. It is not unusual for these bikes to have more than 70K miles. It has always been in the garage when at home. CB antenna broke in half but that has no effect on the function of anything but the CB. (Replacement CB antenna from Yamaha is about $300) Other than that, there are no major mechanical issues, scratches or dents, just minor stuff. I still ride it to and from work regularly. Having all the saddlebag & trunk storage is nice for keeping helmet and gear locked away out of the weather. The trunk is large enough for 1 large helmet or 2 smaller helmets. Although the 870 lbs can feel heavy at less than 5 mph, it weighs less than the Honda Goldwing and Harley Ultra. The bike is well balanced and very smooth humming down the road. The exhaust on this bike is stock so it isn't too loud. The owners manual is included. An electronic copy of the service manual is available.
