1996 Yamaha Royal Star TOUR CLASSIC, This is a 1996 Yamaha Royal Star XVZ/300AT Tour Classic with a trike kit. (This is not a true trike). We purchased this bike in 2012 from an older gentleman who stated that the conversion (trike kit) was done by a company out of California. It has 15" Kelley Charger tires in the rear. 40's/50's style Ford fenders and tail lights. It has a windshield bag, phone pouch on the tank and two large saddlebags. There is a separate switch on the driving/fog lamps so do not have to have them on all the time (see picture). Early last year the bike had a fuel leak so we took it in to a shop for repairs. The repair shop stated that the carburetors needed to be cleaned and rebuilt and that they were over flowing, which was what the leak was. Unfortunately, the shop we took it to was not very good because the bike started to run pretty bad not long after getting it out of the shop. Now, the bike will start but will not stay running unless you are choking it. After it warms up, it will not run at all and fuel starts leaking out. The shop also did something to the electrical.The rear turn signals are not functioning properly now. However, the front turn signals work, brake lights and running lights work and the headlight (both hi and low beams) work last time we started it. I'm not a bike mechanic so I am not sure what the issue is. We have not tried to start the bike since I took the pictures on January 19th. The odometer, which is digital, is not functioning and was not working when we purchased the bike. There is also a 6" split in the seam on the seat but should be repairable. The original owners manual as well as a Clymer repair manual are included with the bike. The tags are current but the inspection is out. This bike rides great and is a great head-turner when cruising down the road. We will not ship. Once bike is purchased, you are responsible for loading and shipping. Full payment must be made before bike can be picked up. $2,000.00
