Hydraulic valve lifters driven by twin camshafts deliver exceptional performance and less maintenance. Ceramic composite cylinder bore plating ensures greater durability and optimal heat dissipation. Single Mikuni 40mm CV carburetor with throttle position sensor features electronic fuel and accelerator pumps, carburetor heater and handy side-mounted air filter to ensure consistent fuel flow, great throttle response and optimum power throughout the rev range. Smooth-shifting 5-speed transmission with 5th-gear overdrive delivers outstanding cruising performance with low RPM at highway speeds. Dry sump lubrication system uses a handy spin-on filter and creates lower center of gravity by helping keep overall engine height to a minimum. Electric starting system features solenoid-activated auto-decompressor for easy, dependable starting. 2-into-2 exhaust system features beefy, staggered shotgun dual pipes putting out a soulful V-twin exhaust tune. Chassis/Suspension Solid-mounted engine housed in specially designed rigid-look, double-cradle frame features a stylish 32° rake. 2002 Yamaha Road star w/35 K miles The bike has a fresh custom candy sunset paint job. It is lowered 2.5 inches in the rear, radius bars, custom grips, Chrome brake and clutch levers, 6k digital ballast HID kit, LED turn signals front and rear, the tag has been relocated and has a custom plate frame with twin strips of led at top and bottom (extremely bright). chrome brake and shift pedal covers, Yamaha solo saddle (real leather saddle), big air/jet kit, 2 sets of exhaust, bubs on the bike and a spare set of cobra slash cuts. The fork tubes, triple trees, risers, front and rear rotors clutch perch, master cylinder, switch covers and all exposed hardware have been polished. The tires were replaced 1200 miles ago (Michelin Commander II) along with the fuel sender. The bike was tuned on an EGA (exhaust gas analyzer) by a local shop and sounds and runs amazingly. A speed star Clutch kit was installed roughly 900-1000 miles ago and grabs hard.
