2004 Yamaha Road Star, The new bike has a redesigned airbox with more capacity, which apparently improves breathing. Yamaha has also juggled reciprocating masses in the pushrod valve train and beefed up some of the structures that support it to let the revised engine rev a little higher and get into the rev limiter a bit more gently than the previous version. With longer cam duration, higher compression, shorter-skirt pistons, and dual plugs in addition to the additional 68cc (which pushes it above the 100-cubic-inch mark), the bike feels noticeably stronger off the line. Cylinder fins have been revised for better cooling too.

1999 Yamaha 1600 Road Star Silverado Trike. This is a custom built Garaged Trike. Maintenance is stock Yamaha. The builder chose the 1600 frame because it is one of the most durable frames on a big bike. The open wheel look with fiber glass fenders allows air to circulate around the engine for better cooling . This Trike came back from the Yamaha shop this spring with a fresh 1600 engine, carb and new throttle cables ect. ( vin# check, bike manual, and maintenance history included). The Mystery Design Trike rear end and engine have about 11k miles on them. The frame has 33,000 K miles on it. The rear brakes are heavy duty. Less than 1k miles are on the belt and tires. Front tire is Metzler and the rears are Tiger Paws. The trike has a Corbin seat and downturned Cobra pipes with a Barons air filter. This trike is running on a fresh oil change and does not leak fluid. Trike has been ridden by male and female riders.
