2009 Yamaha Fjr1300 A, For years, the FJR1300 has been the stuff of legend for Sport Touring enthusiasts. They handle nearly as well as a true sport bike and are nearly as comfortable as a Gold Wing. These bikes are made to be ridden enthusiastically and to put lots of miles between where you have breakfast and where you have dinner. People who haven't ridden one sometimes complain that the bike only has 5 gears, but the motor has SO much torque and horsepower, I've never missed having the extra gear. They claim 147 horsepower. I don't know, but the bike is faster than most people would ever want. There are videos on YouTube of this bike going insanely fast (~165). I've hit 125 out on a straight stretch in Utah, but only once. The 2009 was the only year Yamaha sold this bike in black with black wheels. It is very sharp looking. I used to have a BMW R1200RT. It was a classy and competent bike, but I like the FJR better. Much faster and much sportier while being just as comfortable. The Beemer was also a lot more expensive to maintain and needed premium fuel. Do your research and you'll find that this is a world class mount, just itching for the open road. That having been said, I HAVE done a few things that have improved the stock bike substantially. Seat, handlebar risers, fork springs and valves, taller windshield, throttle lock, sliders, highway pegs. tires and headlight modulator. * Custom leather Corbin seat- very comfortable. * Handlebar risers. Everyone recommended this option. * RaceTech Gold Valves and upgrade fork springs- AMAZING DIFFERENCE.. $800 well spent. * Plus 4" windshield. * Throttle lock. 400-600 mile days are no problem with this setup. * Case Sliders- just in case. * Forward highway pegs. * Michelin Pilot Road 3 tires- Amazing. * Headlight modulators for safety. * Shaft drive * Removable Side Bags * 45-55 mpg on regular fuel * 25,000 mile valve adjustment intervals * Easy oil and filter change * Cosmetic damage is miniscule * ll throw in a nice battery charger/tender and a Cortech magnetic tank bag Business opportunity prompts me to let it go. Call and ask your questions about the bike. Better yet, come and take it for a test ride. Licenses riders only. $7,800.00 5419775566
