Another day, another early team announcement for 2017. This time it’s CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha and their three-rider lineup, with Tommy Hahn returning to lead the team in the 450 class while Bradley Taft and Lorenzo Locurcio make their professional debuts in the 250 class.This is a massive change for the team, as they will part ways with two of the current riders. It’s common knowledge that Colt Nichols is set to move to Yamalube/Star Racing/Yamaha, but what happens with Luke Renzland is currently uncertain.Taft and Locurcio just wrapped up their amateur careers at the 2016 Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship. Two motos wins in 250 A helped Taft take the title, while Locurcio finished fourth overall in the same class.The press release from the team is posted in full below…
The 250cc Yamaha DT1 dual sport was the bike that changed dirt biking in the US, and just like many other 1969/70 vehicles has irreplaceable style... This bike has just under 5000 miles, runs great (just rebuilt carb), but needs a little more love and a paint job to get it back to original looking!
