The motor is a simple tried and true air-cooled 1063 cc single overhead cam with two-valves per cylinder . It has dual carbs , a 5 speed transmission and a low maintence shaft drive . The XVS 1100 C holds 4.3 gallons of gas and gets about 35 mpg on average . These bikes make a great weekend cruiser or a nice commuter bike and at $2500.00 thats a lot of bike for not much money . This V-Star 1100 has rider and passenger floorboards for comfort on a long ride , plus a backrest to keep you passenger comfy . It also has a set of saddlebags for gear too . If you are looking for the most bang for the buck , well then check out this 2005 Yamaha V - Star 1100 Classic . An 1100 cc V -Twin motorcycle capable of in town riding , its only 600 pounds and a short 64.8 inch wheelbase make it easy to get around but also roomy enough to get out and tour with . The guy who traded it was over 6 feet tall and he and his wife fit comfortably riding two up with gear in the hard , locking saddlebags . The V - Star 1100 does have a low 28 inch seat and does fit varying rider heights . Yamaha has built very reliable and dependable air cooled V - Twin motors since 1981 with the original Virago Series and the entire V - Star lineup continues that tradition . A shaft final drive is also smooth and easy to maintain . The bike has triple disc brakes that work well riding on cast wheels that are easy to keep clean and you can run tubeless tires too . This one has a windshield , driving lights , hard lockable saddlebags , a backrest with a luggage rack for additional space to carry a soft bag . This 1100 sounds good with a set shorty pipes on it too . It is in great shape and only has a very low 14000 miles on it , and all of this for only $ 3500.00 !
