I have all of the paperwork from the state showing the VIN is clear. I can't continue to work on it since my two knee replacements. The jeep has been in covered storage since the work began. Please look at the list below for all the parts and work that has been done. I believe it needs someone who is able to give the engine a tune up and finish the installation of windshield etc. The windshield is new and in the box. It has custom Ammo cans mounted on the rear fenders that have marine speakers. The stereo is a marine radio XM ready and 200 watts. All body work, bed liner, and mechanical was done by professional mechanics. As with any project, there are other details to work on if a person choses - or not. This 1957 Willys wagon is a great example of the utility, style, and rugged character that they built for a market clamoring for new vehicles and fresh ideas. But under the skin, it's fully updated with V8 power, an independent front suspension, and all the modern conveniences. The handsome, upright wagon body says Jeep as loudly as any modern CJ, and it's instantly recognized the world over. Restored just a few years ago, it remains in very nice condition, and has come from a collection where it was obviously very well maintained. The finish is nearly show-quality and makes this handsome wagon stand out not just for being unusual, but also for being gorgeous. It has a lovely gloss that looks entirely appropriate on the mini SUV's bodywork, and the colors work rather well, preserving the vintage look bug making it much more appealing. The recessed panels on the bodywork don't just simulate the conventional woody styling, but also strengthen the bodywork, making this a sturdy little trucklet that can do a lot more than you'd guess at first glance. It also offers nice chrome bumpers, tinted glass, and little else that would suggest there's serious firepower hiding underneath. You'll find that the interior has been upgraded far beyond the basic little appliance it was in 1957. Power leather bucket seats, a custom center console, and a tilt steering column are all nods to comfort that the original lacked, and it's remarkable just how right everything looks in there. Custom side panels, door upholstery, and a rear bench make it feel luxurious and help control noise and heat, so this Willys is now a first-class cross-country traveler. Upgrades like A/C, a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system, and a full set of VDO gauges in the center of the ash make it feel very modern from behind the wheel. On the other hand, you still have things like the upright windshield in front of you, so it feels vintage at the same time. The rear compartment is fully upholstered and offers speakers so it's ideal for tailgating or road trips. Performance was given a massive upgrade in the form of a 350 cubic inch Chevy V8. The original 4-cylinder (or optional 6-cylinder) engine had modest performance, but this V8 makes the Willys feel like a legitimate hot rod. Of course it's got a 4-barrel carburetor, a matching aluminum intake manifold, and a wonderful dual exhaust system that is about the only thing that gives away this Willys' secrets. The accessories are tucked in tight to the block and it uses a giant radiator up front to keep everything nice and cool. Underneath there's a Mustang II independent front suspension, a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission, and a Ford 9-inch rear end that combine to make this a fantastic highway cruiser. The engine has less than 2500 miles on the build, so it's still quite fresh and with power steering and power front disc brakes, it's as easy to drive as a modern SUV. Classic Weld Drag Lite II wheels give it some flash, and the modest 215/75/15 blackwall tires are exactly right for the serious little truck. Back to basics was never as much fun as in this Willys wagon. You'll appreciate its easy maintenance, utility, and especially the smile it brings to everyone's face when they see it on the road. You can love the look and the build quality, but until you experience all 502 horsepower trying to rip up the pavement under those rear tires, you just don't know if you're man enough to drive it. But if you are, there definitely aren't many rides that are more entertaining than this one. With 1941 Willys coupes becoming as scarce as dinosaurs, it's a good thing that Show Me Rods stepped up to put fresh fiberglass replicas into circulation. This one was professionally finished, smoothed, and modified with shaved door handles and a pair of LED taillights, essentially boiling the Willys down to its bare essence. Once everything was in order, multiple coats of the stunning Sunburst Orange paint went on. Then there was more sanding and buffing, and the result is a spectacular finish that seems to glow from within and emphasizes the coupe's many complex curves. Up front, that pointed hood sits above a Willys "electric shaver" grille and the split rear window is a Willys design cue that dates back to the '30s. It shows almost no signs of use (it shows just over 9300 miles), and if there's a car that will draw a crowd at the local cruise night, this is it. Fortunately, it's also got the stones to back up the wicked look, but we'll get to that in a moment. You'd think that the interior would be small, but you'd be wrong. There's actually plenty of stretch-out space for two, thanks to wide, comfortable buckets with beautifully stitched leather hides. The tan upholstery is a low-key alternative to the flashy bodywork, and it makes it easy to spend a lot of time behind the wheel. A custom fabricated center console is the highlight of the entire passenger compartment, accented with a trick shifter for the 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. Upgrades include power windows, remote door poppers, Vintage Air heat and A/C, and an overhead console with the AM/FM/CD stereo head unit neatly installed. VDO supplied the beautiful white-faced gauges and there's a polished tilt steering column that makes it easy to get comfortable. In back, despite the massive wheel tubs, there's a fairly spacious trunk with custom upholstery that matches the interior. The massive powerplant under the hood is a GM crate 502, which is legendary for both durability and prodigious power output. In the relatively lightweight Willys, performance is explosive, although the full potential of this car has never been explored; as it has never been raced. It's a tight fit in the pointed engine bay, but they added plenty of flash in the form of a chrome air cleaner, polished valve covers with '502' emblems, and a block painted to match the bodywork. As you undoubtedly already know, these are easy-running powerplants with good street manners and it never gets cranky thanks to a giant radiator up front. The engine is backed by a fresh 700R4 4-speed automatic feeding a 9-inch Ford rear end that was also painted to match the body. Tubular A-arms with rack-and-pinion steering make up the front suspension, while the rear is a 4-link with coil-over shocks all around. Beautiful aluminum wheels have a vintage Torque Thrust look and wear massive 20-inch Dunlop radials that give it that wicked stance. When you take this car out for a drive, just make sure it's pointed where you want it to go before stomping the loud pedal. Just because this Willys is pretty, that doesn't mean that it isn't also nasty fast. Title appears in the browser's title bar... 1954 Willys Eagle Custom This is a 1954 Willys (pronounced will-is) Aero Eagle Custom Hardtop, One of the last 4 known to exist. It has 23,527 miles on it, believed to be actual. It is very solid, nearly rust-free, having spent the most of it's time on the salt-free roads of California, last licensed in 1965, and since 2005, in climate controlled storage in Wisconsin, ready for restoration. This car was in isolated storage in a sealed off garage for nearly 40 years until discovered in 2003 by a man in La Hambra, CA. Due to the low mileage, it may very well be that you all you would have to do is replace all the gaskets in the engine and transmission, and that could get it running again, as it does not run at this point. The car is unique and very rare. It has a clear Wisconsin title that states "previously titled in CA".The car is an early unibody design and has a very different suspension and steering system from most cars of it's day. The Hardtop styling was to give the appearance of a convertible when all 4 windows were rolled down. This car is lower than most of it's day and had excellent ride and handling as well as 61 inches of seating width. The engine is a 226 Cu. In., Kaiser Based, "Super Hurricane" Continental that is rated at 115 hp, and it has a 4-speed dual range hydramatic transmission. These cars were equipped with a heater, radio, deluxe carpeting, special two tone yellow and red paint, full color-keyed wheel covers with an embossed "W", white-wall tires, custom chrome, and stainless trim, a deluxe hood ornament, custom steering wheel trim, bumper guards, and a Continental Spare tire mounted on the back. You can research the car's rarity and it's exclusive history at the http://clubs.hemmings.com/willysaero/ . Rick Kamen is one of the most foremost authorities on these cars, and has a lot of statistical data on his website. The history of the car is as follows: The dealers' son who contacted me relayed to me the story that the dealers back in 1954 were offered the 1954 "Special" as a promotional vehicle with exclusive access to be able to get them into their showrooms. The car was the featured car on the front of the sales brochure for that year. They could sell them or offer the customers the opportunity to order a car identical to them. The MC2 was, however, exclusive, and there are only 2, or possibly 3 viable cars yet around today that still exist. I actually found one in Northern Wisconsin, that a salvage dealer had kept back when he sold his salvage yard, and went into farming. However, the car was a "basket case", as it has been sitting in a marshy area for over 20 years, and only various parts were intact enough to still be usable-the body was too rusted out to save. Cars 2 and 3 are owned by us and a guy from North central Illinois. It is rumored that there may be a 4th car still remaining down south in the Alabama-Georgia area. These cars have not been appraised or given a value because they've never come up for sale due to their rarity. One very unique fact about this car is that the interior code of "40" is evident in no other Willys cars, or known factory supplied information. It was unique to that one car. The Ultamate Hot Rod 100% Original interior very nice and complete a keeperOriginal paint & 100 % complete No Rot ever engine spins free ready to startonce in a life time opportunity Not to worry More Pictures to come
