Never intended for sale, this incredibly unique truck is now available due to a change in circumstances. This vehicle was the subject of a full mechanical and cosmetic restoration over the past 4 years. Repainted by Pebble Beach Concourse Award Winning Painter, who personally prepped, painted, colour sanded and polished the following Multi-Million Dollar Motoring Icons!!!! Among his many credits, these are probably the most famous, and recent examples of his Craftsmanship. A Second Place Pebble Beach Concourse Winning Cord Model 26. A 1931 Bugattis Type 51. A 1931 Bugatti Dubos Coupe. As well as an Hispano Suiza Race Car. All for the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar. Yes it's hard to believe that a 1957 Willys Pick up Truck, one of 671 built,would be the beneficiary of a such a quality paint restoration, but this truck was his passion. Apart from the impeccable body work, the mechanicals are also freshly rebuilt, including the 1964 "period installed " rebuilt 383 Chevrolet V 8, gearbox and clutch. It also has new exhaust, brakes, fuel system instruments and electrics.The restoration file comes with $$$$s in receipts for parts.In addition to the fully rebuilt mechanicals, this Truck has more gears than I know what to do with, hi/lo, 2 or 4 wheel, front or rear drive, locking hubs,and there is a mechanical winch, fed off the engine, so you could climb a wall if you so chose. Fresh wheels with new tires, paper stickers still on the treads, complete a class act. There are there hundreds even thousands of hours of labor involved in the painstaking bodywork and paint, the cost to duplicate this would be over $ 65k.Runs and sounds great, has engine pick up drive front winch and special high level chrome trim.
