This is a beautifully resto-modded 1963 Willys Wagon 4x4! I purchased it from a private seller in Eastern NC outside of Asheville. He owned it for approx 10 years and the restoration was completed approx 9 years ago. The build was very thorough from start to finish. The body was removed and all rusted panels were cut out and replaced with new steel (see photo album of resto). A New Chevy 350 V8 engine was installed along with a Chevy Automatic Transmission that is mated to the original Dana 18 Transfer Case (recently rebuilt). The axles are from a Jeep Grand Wagoneer and were completely rebuilt with new bearings and seals. The axle upgrade gives this Willys Power Disc Brakes up front and a much better gear ratio for cruising than the original setup. It also has Power Steering and a Vintage Air A/C system with R134 refrigerant. The paint and trim show extremely well but there are a couple small scratches from it's occasional use by the previous owner. The doors line up and close better than any Willys I have ever had experience with. All window and door rubber was replaced during the restoration. All gauges operate as they should (Fuel, Oil Pressure, Temp, Volt, Speedo, Odo). The interior is 100% custom from the door panels to the headliner and makes this Willys much more attractive and functional. It has been heavily insulated throughout with Dynamat. Dome lights in the ceiling a side panels turn on when either front door or rear hatch is opened. Brand New Custom stereo (Pioneer Bluetooth Head unit with Rockford Fosgate 5.25" inch speakers hidden behind front door panels and a pair of 6x9 Rockford Fosgates in the rear. "Do you see what I see" a wonderful original rust free Jeepster in excellent shape. My daily driver in pretty weather. All mechanical systems have been regularly serviced-repaired replaced as needed. This is an L-6 with Overdrive great fun to drive, everyone loves it. The paint is original (except for a few touch ups) and has the desired patina of its 65 years. The seating has been recovered in the original colors- the arm rests in the back seat area are original. The black floor matting is original as is all of the dash pulls and even the ball on the shifter lever, AND note the vintage art deco radio-IT WORKS. All gauges are in proper working order. I have replaced radiator, starter and voltage regulator this year , overdrive and kick down switch have been rebuilt. Note the continental spare, previous owner states that it was one of the original 5-it has a painted white wall as was the custom then . Previous owner also signed an actual mileage statement 58,417 although the title reads exempt .Cranks and runs smoothly, does not smoke or use oil, will drip a few drips after running when hot- they all do. Comes with boot cover, nice side curtains and jack tool in the original canvas bag. It would be some task to find an original Jeepster in this condition.
