This is a super nice 1959 all original Willy's CJ5. It's been sitting for 20 years in a garage and hasn't been registered since 1996. It has been garage kept its whole life. This jeep was purchased in 1960 with 1000 miles on it from the original owner and has been with the same owner since then. It has been very well cared for. It has the original black CA plates since new. Jeep in a perfect example of a non molested vehicle. The owner passed away 6 years ago and was purchased from the family 2 weeks ago. Has all late model Ford Rack and pinion steering, A arms and suspension off a Mustang. Frame is NOT hacked up. Later model 10 bolt rear end & don't know the gear ratio. It does need some work but not a lot to put on the road & drive it everyday. It could stand some additional body and paint work. Please look over the pictures. We were going to just scuff sand and paint it semi gloss black and pin strip it in red and fix both door glass. All the Glass was new. We attempted to fix the one window and cracked the glass. It looks like the glass was cut wrong. Note: we found out from a guy in the know that the windows are nto installed properly. They crank up and down OK but just would not close all the way up right. They are supposed to move back some so as a smoker can have some venting we are told. The door windows are just straight safety glass and easy to replace, but will need to be addressed to drive everyday in if rains or colder weather. Needs front end alignment, some minor wiring needs to be finished. It is street legal even here in California. It is road worthy. We did not build this car and it had been sitting for the last 5 years in a temperature control large garage. Guy who bought was going to Completely go though it, you know how it goes never had time. Then got sick. Title has been NON OP in California since 2010 so no late fees to pay if registered here in California. It has a real 40 Willy's Pickup Title. We have driven the car about 400 miles with NO Problems. Couple shows and the donuts shop on Saturday morning. We went though though the whole car before we drove it. Full service and safety inspection was done in our shop.. It looks like the door windows were put in wrong and we cracked one on the driver side. Need body work in some places but is pretty much rust free.Some wiring needs done. like the wipers and a heater done.Front end alignment is needed. But does drive straight but pulls a bit. Not bad. Tires and wheels in good shape. Real mileage is unknown. 1. All Steel no Fiberglass.2. A real 40 Willy's Pickup3. Late model 302 V8 with Edlebrock Carb and Manifold (Runs Very Good)4. C4 For auto trans5. 10 bolt rear end ( do not know Gear Ratio)6. Late model Gray Cloth Bucket seats7. Vintage new style Gauges8. Old style AMERICAN RACING WHEELS Tires and wheels in V Good condition.9.New glass but door will need one repaired and maybe the other replaced.10. Yes the bed has been lowered over the frame. Frame NOT CUT.11. Rack and Pinion Steering late model Ford12. Front Suspension is also Mustang with Disc Brakes and Drum in the rear and all are like new13. Rides and runs good. A nice first starter for an young man or a work on it and drive it. Or the guy who always liked and wanted one here is your chance.14. Will need some work to drive all the time in different weather.
