This 1959 Willy's Jeep was restored by my father-in-law 37 years ago. Garage kept. 1980 Buick 225 Odd Fire engine has very little time on it. Three speed with auxiliary stick for four wheel Drive. Best I can tell the frame and transmission are original. Body is Cherry red fiberglass. Runs very well and is faster than you would want to go in an old army jeep. Tons of fun and eye catching for the right collector. Lots of extras, we have parts, rag top, door windows, hubs, carburetor, body parts, etc... These all go with the sale. Engine millage very low. Installed new in 1980 and barely run. May be under 1,000 miles. My father-in-law was injured shortly after the install of new engine and was unable to drive. Unknown body and drive train millage.

A no-holds-barred professional build, it is full of amazing details and simply awe-inspiring workmanship, making it one of the most spectacular cars we've ever represented. Willys coupes are iconic pieces of hot rodding history, whether they be gassers or brutal pro-street machines like this. Based on a fiberglass body, of course, this spectacular 1941 shows off what you get when cost is no object. The surfaces of the body were painstakingly smoothed by the guys at TNT in Detroit, and if anyone knows about getting cars to look amazing, it's these guys up in the Motor City. Then there's a ton of time wrapped up in getting the gaps right, the doors fitting just so, and all the other little stuff that separates the great rods from the merely interesting ones. The hood was modified to clear the scoop on the big blower and those headlights are from an Indian motorcycle, matching the Willys' original teardrop design but giving them a more high-tech look. Two strips of LEDs form the taillight and upper brake light, located just below the split rear window that's a big part of the Willys' appeal. Two stage urethane paint looks stunning with a color shift that seems to make it glow from within. Green and red flames lick across the hood and fenders, seeming to originate within the custom two-piece grille, and it's all buried under the clear for a truly seamless look. The leather-lined interior (and when we say leather-lined, we mean it: even the floor is leather!)is every bit as dramatic as the exterior. With custom-crafted seats, beautifully stitched upholstery, and details that delight the eye everywhere you look, THIS is what pro-built rods look like. There's not a single piece inside this car that wasn't tweaked or massaged in some way, including the custom painted tilt column, the leather-wrapped billet steering wheel, and even the Auto Meter instruments, which have custom-painted bezels inside a trick instrument pod. A hand-fabricated center console houses the auxiliary gauges and T-handle shifter for the TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, but no other switches or knobs mar its sleek, smooth look. You'll also note that the graphics wrap around into the door jambs, that even the brake pedal lever is painted to match the body, and every square inch of the trunk is finished in matching tan hides. Wow. The engine is a crate 502, but since leaving it stock is what everyone does, they slapped a set of aluminum heads and a giant 8-71 blower on top and feed it with a slick Kinsler fuel injection setup. Custom paint is everywhere you look, including the valve covers with airbrushed graphics, and anything that wasn't painted got polished or plated. This goes double underneath, where it was finished to win trophies, and the frame, suspension, and even the custom-built 9-inch rear end are treated to the same exceptional detailing, right down to filled welds and custom-painted green flames. Coil-overs, disc brakes, and a polished stainless exhaust system all mean that it's totally street legal, but with only shake-down miles on the clock, it's never been there. Giant billet wheels wear a big-n-little tire combination that truly defines the pro-street look. Show quality in every way, you will not find a nicer Willys anywhere. You couldn't build one yourself that's this nice, and certainly not for the price. We don't use the word "perfect" to describe cars, but we truly can't see how this one could be any closer to it. Simply put, this car is amazing. Count this as your chance to take home a show-winning rod that is every bit a match for those cars you've been drooling over in the magazines for the past 20 years. LS1 power, a crankin' stereo, and an outrageous snakeskin interior make this car a total rock star. The body is by Dennis Taylor, and if you know his work, you know this is a first-class build all the way. With impeccable fit and finish, this fiberglass rod is more than a match for its steel counterparts and benefits from modern engineering that give it a highly polished feel on the road. The Viper Red lower body sizzles, but is balanced by the striking charcoal gray upper, all separated by an airbrushed bit of stainless trim that follows the body's natural contours. Shaved handles, that classic Willys grille, and teardrop headlights are classic design cues that are neatly incorporated into this rod, along with those incredibly gothic taillights, and that little pod just below the trunk opening is a back-up camera. This car looks right, sits right, and won't be mistaken for anything else on the road. The incredible interior is perhaps even more outrageous than the body, with charcoal gray ultraleather buckets highlighted by snakeskin accents on the seats, door panels, and even the steering wheel. A custom dash full of Auto Meter carbon fiber instruments has a classic and simple layout, and a custom center console houses the Lokar shifter for the 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission underneath. There's also every creature comfort you could ask for, including Vintage Air A/C, power windows and locks, and a stereo system powerful enough to make your ears bleed. It includes a Jensen AM/FM/CD/DVD head unit with a 7-inch monitor in the dash along with two 9-inch screens in the trunk. A pair of 5x9 speakers augmented by a 10-inch subwoofer fills the cabin with sound, and the custom trunk enclosure is as slick-looking as the engine bay, so you'll want to show it off every chance you get. So many Willys rods are so over-built that they're next to impossible to drive, but this one carries a stout LS1 small block that's both powerful and tractable. Street & Performance provided a fuel injection system that makes it run like the Corvette from which it was borrowed, and includes an amazing custom intake cover by Dave's Rod Shop. A set of custom long-tube headers snake through the silver powdercoated frame and dump into an HPC-coated Flowmaster exhaust system. The front suspension is from Heidts and features tubular A-arms and coil-overs, while out back a fabricated 9-inch rear hangs on a 4-link with Aldan shocks. Inside, you'll find street-friendly 3.73 gears and there's a disc brake at all four corners, making this car easy to drive with impressive performance on the street. Classic Budnik Gasser billet wheels complete the look, wearing 205/50/16 front and 345/55/17 rear tires for a classic hot rod stance. Impressively built with a long list of A-list hardware, this is a first-class rod that's poised to take home some seriously big trophies. It would take somewhere around $130,000-$140,000 to build this car from scratch so whoever gets this beauty is really buying at a huge discount relative to the build cost. The compact body has been stuffed with a blown V8, full air-ride suspension, a snug-fitting custom interior, and an outrageous paint job with hand-painted flames. If you're out to get noticed, this is definitely the right car for the job. Second only to Ford's line of 3-window coupes in terms of popularity, the 1941 Willys has the right look for the pro-street makeover. The body seems to be just barely big enough to contain the mechanicals within, and with those teardrop-shaped headlights and electric shaver grille, there's no mistaking it for anything else on the road. The fiberglass body is by IDA and it's beautifully finished, showing expert workmanship from every angle, with doors that fit well and an open engine compartment that accommodates the oversized blower poking out the top. The bright orange paint seems to glow from within like it's radioactive or something, and the flames were done exactly right for a high-visibility hot rod. A professional buff would probably bring back its show-winning look but even as it sits, this car has a lot of presence. Shaved door handles, trick side mirrors, and simple billet taillights are the kinds of little details that add up to a big effect on the overall look. It's easy to see why these are so popular. There's actually more room inside than you'd expect by looking at the coupe bodywork, and the neatly trimmed buckets make it easy to spend time there. A tilt column with a leather-wrapped billet wheel is a big improvement over the original Willys' bus-style steering gear, and the dash carries a full array of easy-to-read gauges from VDO. The two-tone upholstery isn't for everyone, we understand that, but if you like the look, you'll be thrilled with how comfortable this Willys really is. A center console houses switches for the power windows and trunk, and there's a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo head unit at your fingertips. A B&M shifter manages the TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and you'll also note the speakers neatly installed on the sides of the console. The trunk has been upholstered in vivid purple carpet with finished housings for the oversized wheel tubs and bulkhead. Despite the massive wheel tubs, there's actually a decent amount of storage in there if you'd care to take a long trip in this slick coupe. Better bring your liquid-cooled gas card with you when you go, because making big horsepower is what the blown Chevy small block under the hood does best. The 355 cubic inch V8 is from Big Al's Toy Box and is fed by a Littlefield 6-71 supercharger inhales through a pair of Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors and delivers RIGHT NOW throttle response that will take some getting used to out on the street. Seriously, this thing makes full boost before you can get your foot on the floor, so make sure it's pointed where you want it to go before you stomp on the loud pedal. It's also beautiful to look at, with lots of chrome and polished aluminum plus a compact accessory drive system that puts all the components in exactly the right place for the Willys' engine bay. Without a hood it's easy to service and a big radiator up front means you don't have to worry about trying to stay cool, even under load. The aforementioned TH400 3-speed automatic transmission has obviously been heavily reinforced and spins a narrowed 9-inch rear hanging on an air-ride and 4-link setup. A custom stainless exhaust system provides an awesome soundtrack, and the traditional big-n-little tire combination is provided by 215/45/17 front and 275/60/17 rear BFGoodrich radials on custom-painted Billet Specialties wheels. Outrageously fast and tons of fun, this expertly built rod is a turn-key piece that is more than just pretty. Vehicle Information VIN: 473VJ13321 Stock: 1952-ATL Mileage: 96,747 Color: Cream Trans: Manual Engine: MPG: Drivetrain: Description The Willys Jeepster delivered open-air motoring to a public that had recently fallen in love with the rugged Jeep out on the battlefield. This 1950 Jeepster combines that same tough attitude and ruggedness with a sporty convertible body to make an appealing little speedster that embodies all thats great about Jeep: durability, simplicity, and classic good looks. Painted in traditional colors Nassau Cream with a black upper body, this doesnt look like a low-priced machine. The angular front fenders and upright grille are instantly recognizable trademarks that continue on Jeeps today, and thats a big part of this little cars appeal. Finish quality is quite good, better than most Jeepsters receive given their rather affordable prices, but with recent market shifts, these are no longer bargain-basement machines. Youll find prices all over the map with these, so it pays to do your homework, and what youll find here is a solid trucklet with an honest look and nice finish quality that drives great. They were never designed to have show-grade gaps, so its about how the factory did it, but the paint is probably a lot shinier than anything they had in 1950. And unlike military-spec Jeeps, this convertible sports bright chrome bumpers, a dressed-up grille, and a V-shaped windshield that helps cheat the wind at least a little bit, giving it a rakish, cut-down appearance. The basic interior is just that: basic. Black vinyl upholstery wraps around rectangular cushions that could be equally stylish on your patio. Piped in cream, they do look appealing and the passengers side bucket seat tilts forward for access to the rear seat area. The upholstery work was done a few years ago, but thanks to durable materials and good workmanship, its holding up nicely with only a few signs of age here and there. The centrally-mounted instrument panel made manufacturing easier and its full of recently restored gauges that look awesome. Thanks to extensive use of sound-deadening materials under the carpets, this Jeepster feels substantial and tight and doesnt cook your shoes on hot days. The folding top fits well and looks great with its fastback profile and the Jeepster was one of the last US-built vehicles to still use side curtains, so it feels very old fashioned when its all buttoned up. In 1950, there were two 134 cubic inch inline-four cylinder engines, and we believe this is the more powerful Hurricane version simply because this is a late production Jeepster and the Hurricane engine was introduced about three months into 1950 production. Regardless, it isnt terribly fast, but its bulletproof reliable if treated properly and has a great can-do attitude that overcomes its modest specifications. Learning from their battlefield experience, the engineers put all the delicate stuff up high, including the carburetor and generator, while the original air filter housing was upgraded to use a replaceable paper element. Its tidy under the hood and a dedicated hobbyist could bump this truck up a couple of points just by cleaning and polishing a few bits. The chassis isnt detailed for show, but shows the rugged hardware youd expect of a Jeep and it looks quite solid. Color-matched steel wheels with simple hubcaps and modest whitewall radials complete the no-nonsense look. The ideal addition to a Jeep fans collection or a fun collectable thats a little out of the ordinary, this Jeepster offers a lot of charisma in an affordable package. Call today!
