You will not find an original numbers matching survivor like this one. It was donated to a local small lake town fire department in 1960 and has been barely used all that time while being cared for in a firehouse closed building. No rust and extremely straight body. None of the usual dings and dents on this guy. engine #: J188829 Starts right up and drives and brakes well. lights work. New military tires a few years back with nipples still on them. New gas tank and rebuilt carb. Windshield glass cracked and the tool box lid needs replaced, but other then that it is ready to finish. This is an excellent base cj2a to finish to a $20,000+ jeep. If I don't sell this in a few weeks then I will finish it, but I have a few projects sitting in front of it. Great opportunity for someone. This 1959 Willy's Jeep was restored by my father-in-law 37 years ago. Garage kept. 1980 Buick 225 Odd Fire engine has very little time on it. Three speed with auxiliary stick for four wheel Drive. Best I can tell the frame and transmission are original. Body is Cherry red fiberglass. Runs very well and is faster than you would want to go in an old army jeep. Tons of fun and eye catching for the right collector. Lots of extras, we have parts, rag top, door windows, hubs, carburetor, body parts, etc... These all go with the sale. Engine millage very low. Installed new in 1980 and barely run. May be under 1,000 miles. My father-in-law was injured shortly after the install of new engine and was unable to drive. Unknown body and drive train millage.
