Look left look right and up and down...This is the only vintage 500CC machine you will see. Only 45 years old. . She is no garage queen...(although garaged most of her life) but has all the mojo you can ask for, mostly original. Always gathers a lil' crowd. Just Ride away always a 1 or 2 kick start...or take it to your lab and restore her. Bike smokes when first started, and leaks a little oil. Runs pretty strong for a 500 .No turn signals...so re-learn your hand signals.has right foot shift....(4 speed)Horn/speedo does not work, (cable does.)Drag pipes. 2 to 1, (the ONLY old modification) They have some volume. and now. . .the good. Recent transmission rebuild not even 100m on it since.New valve guides and valves ground.New gaskets: head and base.New AMAL 626 Carb $$$, old one and rebuild kit included.Inline filters New Air Cleaner/assemblyNew PetcocksNewer Fork Boots/Gaitorsoriginal manual !has grab bar, and tail light extension, & chrome steering dampener....funky extras usually not found. Age appropriate bags for your crap.decent rubber...seat is very good, one little tear in the rear...thats' it. Be serious, there have been a fair share of tire kickers, and folks pointing out what I have described as the imperfections/needs. And of course my favorite "Son, I used to have one of those, bought it new for.....blah blah blah. These classic single carb twin 500's never come up for air. If you care for this bike and do a little here and there you will enjoy the future with it...and get back what you put into it....which is what I am doing. May deliver within 100 miles. You will have to arrange for shipping. or come and get it. reference NADA guide etc.

This bike is awesome!!!! It's not for everybody....but if you're into true survivors this is the bike for you!!! The only 2 things on this bike that are not factory correct are the low-rise bars and the 2 into 1 exhaust. Both easily changed to be be perfect. This bike still has the factory lead twist ties on it that hold the wires in place. It starts and runs like a top. It's a "one-kick" bike. It has the stainless fenders both front and rear and also has the fork key lock WITH the key and it works. The correct name for the color is Jacaranda Purple. Most people want the 650 but in actuality the 500 is a nicer bike and rarer. It's also less money :) All numbers matching!!!!! I ended up with this bike as payment from a customer who didn't have the cash to pay me for a paint job. I'd LOVE to keep it but I don't have time to ride right now :( My buy it now price is the balance that was owed on his debt. The bike might be worth even more to the right guy but I'm willing to accept reasonable offers to sell it before the snow flies. My loss is your gain. Unmolested bikes like this are REALLY hard to find and the values are only going up each year! 2 owner bike. You will not be disappointed in this thing. If you have any questions or would like any additional pictures please message me and I'd be glad to help. I can not make any shipping arrangements but will be glad to help the shipper load it. I can also offer the winning bidder FREE storage of this bike until May of next year if that helps you out? You just pay in full, I'll send the title and you can pick it up next spring. Please look closely at all the pictures before making an offer.
