Frame is matte black with gloss black tank. rootbeer flake logo. Custom stitched leather seat. David bird rear. Harley spoked wheels. Dunlop tires. Bob newby racing belt drive dry system. Too many after market parts to mention. Most are from factory metal works and lowbrow custom. Joe hunt magneto just recently rebuilt. 5 speed transmission only 4 work. Lots of time, money, and hard work was put into this beauty.Asking $10900. I bought a house and need to prioritize other things. Sad but true. Be sure to click on each picture for full view. Bike is fully built in a bobber chopper style, it's kind of a mash between the two. I am actually impressed how comfortable it is to ride, takes medium bumps without issues. Extended hardtail was added, with the springer front. Everything is either rebuilt or new on the bike. Old triumphs are kickstart only, wimps need not apply. Right side shift (opposite japanese/american bikes) and is 1 down 3 up shift pattern. Has clean Indiana Title, about 50 miles on it since the motor was rebuilt. Full motor rebuild by King Tiger Triumph Bainbridge, IN (Receipt for work included with sale) Cylinders bored to .40 over with new pistons and ringsFull head rebuild new valve guides and springs, rocker boxes taken apart and rebuiltAll seals, gaskets, and bushings replacedRod bearings, RH & LH bearings Carb rebuilt and tuned with new jets and float needleNew primary and clutch plates and springs Full magneto overhaul by Joe Hunt Magnetos Rancho Cordova, CA (receipt for work included with sale) Points plate, Points, Sundry kit, Magnetized Paint done by Generation Moto Franklin, INGas tank, Oil tank, rear fender in black with gold flakeFrame in gloss black New PartsFactory Metal Works bolt-on hardtail 8" extension 2” dropDNA springer frontPodtronics reg/rec/capKoso DL electronic speedo (includes speed, ODO, and Trip)Wire harnessMonstercraftsman Powell Peralta Clamp on tensionerFoot, shift, kickstart, and grip rubbersSprocket (46t) and chainBMW style metal bar end turns with LED bulbs and LED flasher relay5.75” lucas style headlight with high beam indicatorAxle mount vertical plate bracket with tailPetcocks, petcock seals, gas cap, and tank mountsAir filter can and filterWheel bearingsSteering head bearings triumph to harley conversionThrottle and cable, clutch lever and cableLeft side control (turns, low/high beam, kill switch)Leather solo seat and coil springsIntegrated rear brake light switchBrake linkage and adjuster nutOil tank (power steering fluid tank from a freightliner truck)Tires front and rearBrake shoes Things to be aware ofThis is an early unit triumph motor where the breather is on the crank. The custom oil tank doesn’t have the ability to accept the breather tube as an input so it is open to the atmosphere. Due to this, and triumphs butterfly breather valves, some oil does come out through the tube, once parked, you will see a few drops on the ground. This is normal for this motor and setup, if you have an immaculate garage, put a cookie sheet under it. Triumph later moved the breather into the primary side case and relieved this.An older exhaust is still on it, there is one rust hole where it was scrapped long ago. I didn’t add a new one as I felt it better to keep the cost down for you and let you pick whatever exhaust you wanted. If you don't want a new exhaust, there isn’t anything wrong with running the one it has.Carb float needle was just replaced with a rubber tiped, its still in the break in period so there is a slow drip if you leave the petcock on when parked. This should go away once it's seated. Took a couple of very short videos riding it so you can see it in action and hear the motor. Ride In Ride Out

WATCH VIDEO ABOVE FOR MORE DETAILS. SERIOUS, SINCERE BUYERS/COLLECTORS ONLY PLEASE. This is a VERY special motorcycle and part of my personal collection. You cannot build this bike for this price. I have far too many vintage British motorcycles at the moment and it is WAY too overwhelming for me to maintain and keep them all. I NEVER had any plans to sell this bike but situations in life have changed and now it is being offered. This bike has so much history around here in this area it is hard to type it all out. HARD to put a price on it as well. Bikes of this nature do NOT surface very often. 1962 TRIUMPH TR6SS PRE UNIT "FLATTRACKER" Bike was owned, raced and maintained by Jim "Birdie" Byers here in southern IN. from 1965 until 2005. I feel it is important and vital for the new owner to know just who owned this bike and what it meant to him. So here is a little history on Jim: Obituary for James A. "Birdie" Byers BOONVILLE — James A. "Birdie" Byers, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005. Birdie was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association and National Rifle Association. He was a professional motorcycle racer on the Flat Track Racing Circuit from 1965 to 1970. His bike was a '62 Triumph Trophy and his number was 73H. As for the bike: Clean and clear title in my name for easy transfer. Bike is titled off of the engine #'s. Can be EASILY plated and street ridden. Brake and taillights are working and I do street ride it. Birdie raced this bike all over. Springfield, IL., Duquoin, IL., Knoxville, TN., Indianapolis, IN. and MANY more places. Both TT, 1/2 mi and vintage short track. All machine work was done by Don's Cycle Shop in Rockport, IN. Frame is an early Triumph "Pre Duplex" frame. Engine is a Hubert "Sonny" Routt 825cc Big bore "Twin". TR6SS lower end with splayed port head (ALL VALVES, GUIDES, SPRINGS FRESH) Slick shift 4 speed transmission Twin Mikuni 34mm's Mity Max system Lucas magneto Conical front wheel from a '70 Tri. New Avon tires (more street friendly). Taillight and brake lights all work excellent as well as the tachometer light (any headlight could be installed if you want to go back to street riding) ! Since I bought it from the family, it has been stored in my collection and started/ridden on special occasions. Bike runs and rides EXCELLENT!!!!! Bike is SUPER FAAAAASSSSSTTT! Pulls like a MULE! Again, a VERY special machine that will be greatly missed but hopefully the new owner will appreciate just how special it is and take it out to show it off. That's about it. Feel free to call me if you have any questions about the bike: (812)631-7790 Bike is sold "As Is" and "Where Is". No warranty expressed or implied obviously BUT if you are in the area you are welcome and encouraged to come and physically inspect the bike anytime you like. PLEASE ask or request addition pics if you need them. I'm happy to do that anytime. Trying to cover every square inch of a large, antique bike can be difficult so bare with me. Nothing to hide here. SHIPPING: I use Keyboard Motorcycle Shippers and Haulbikes.com. I will work with you on this end and assist any way I can. Paying: I prefer cash in hand and a handshake but will take a cashiers' check or bank-to-bank wires and I will work with you from start to finish 100% on shipping the car. However shipping costs are buyers responsibility. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS ARE WELCOME! NO PAYPAL UNLESS YOU PAY THE FEES! I DO NOT LIKE PAYPAL AND I THINK THEIR FEES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! IF YOU WANT TO USE PAYPAL, YOU WILL HAVE TO BE LIABLE FOR THE EXTRA FEES. SORRY...BUT IT'S UNREAL WHAT THEY CHARGE FOR BASICALLY DOING NOTHING.
