Standard Features May Include: Chassis You get a pair of removable leather saddle bags, auxiliary spot lamps and the World s first white-walled radial tyres riding on wide, wire-spoked rims on the new LT. The ergonomics feature a completely redesigned, reshaped seat, with deeper foam padding and lumbar support for maximum comfort, while maintaining a low seat height to accommodate all sizes of rider. Engine The motive force at the heart of the new Thunderbird LT is the World s largest parallel twin motorcycle engine, as found in the existing Thunderbird Storm and based on the original Thunderbird. At 1699cc, the LT s eight-valve DOHC motor produces 94PS at 5400rpm and a whopping 151Nm of torque at a lowly 3550rpm. The enormous thrust from its pair of saucer-sized forged pistons and uneven, long-stroke 270° firing interval create a classic big-twin feel, perfect for propelling the you over long distances with a natural, easy-going groove. Belt Drive The Thunderbird LT has a belt drive for low maintenance and long life. Suspension Shrouded 47mm Showa forks and twin 5-way preload adjustable Showa rear shocks provide excellent feedback with supple control to ensure a quality ride over the harshest surfaces. 2012 Triumph Thunderbird ABS, Beautiful rare Red Marble Haze Thunderbird ABS. Low miles, like new. Bike has all the desirable accessories for a light touring setup. Triumph saddlebags, quick release sissy bar and luggage rack. The official Triumph quick release windshield is supplied by National Cycle. I went straight to them and purchased the taller shield. With the Switchblade system, you can interchange different size windshields without changing mounting hardware. Great runner, plenty of torque and one of the best handling cruisers available in the world. Always garage kept, never seen rain. Accessories were about $2000. 2001 Triumph Thunderbird , 2001 Triumph Thunderbird. 12374 original miles. This bike was originally purchased from Baxter Cycle. They had it new, put all Triumph accessories on it, and kept it around the dealership as a personal ride/demo. They put about 8400 miles on it over 8 years and sold it to an older gentleman, who put about 1000 miles on it. He thought the bike was geared too high, as it would lug a little bit at low idle and low speeds. I purchased it in 2012 when it had 9400 miles. I too noticed the rough running nature of it at low speeds. After doing some research, the original Gill coils are problem prone, so I purchased 3 brand new Nology coils and installed them. I had the old ones tested and one was bad. Now the engine runs like a top, with better power. I can include the old coils, so you would have 2 spares. The coils brand new are about $225 for the set. These Speed Triple Thunderbirds are rare, and this one is exceptionally clean, never driven in the rain, stored inside a heated room in the winter. It is fast and handles well. 900 CC 3 cylinder motor has a unique sound to it, and is great fun to ride. Accessories are all official Triumph gear, and include a windshield, nylon bags (very handy, and easy to remove), king/queen seat and backrest. The batter was replaced in 2012, and I always use a battery tender that I would include. Have the owners manual, a cover, 2 sets of keys with the original Baxter key rings, and the title in hand. Fresh oil change, fresh professional detail. Ready to ride with all popular accessories already installed. Great opportunity for a nice ride at a great price.
