The 2011 Triumph Thruxton is a sporty, classic motorcycle that got its inspiration from the Bonneville-based café racer-style bikes popular in the 1960s. Launched in 2004, it got its name from the famous Hampshire racetrack in Great Britain -- a place Triumph had a great deal of success.An air-cooled, 865-cc, twin cylinder engine that churns out 68-horsepower at 7400 revolutions per minute (rpm) and 51 lb-ft of torque at 5800 rpm powers the 2011 Triumph Thruxton, which is an incredible improvement from the Bonneville. Although it won't win any races, it is fun to ride. Thanks to 1.7-inch forks teamed with chromed twin shock absorbers, both adjustable for preload, ride and handling is composed and pleasant.As expected from Triumph's flagship model of their classic line, the Thruxton has a nifty, eye-catching design. It is available in two premium color options: phantom black with a classic gold stripe and diablo red with a white race stripe. Its minimalist lines flow over its body to help create an appealing style.
