Its 675cc three-cylinder engine bubbles, growls, and wails as you wind it up through the gears, and thanks to an all-new chassis, the handling is now even sharper and more intuitive than it has ever been, and that's saying something! The bodywork is new too. Colors appear as sharp slashed down the length of the bike from under the tail section to the lean-looking tank, narrow radiator side cover and front mudguard, neatly finished by the striking new whee design. Triumph has created a machine that can turn the dullest commute into a pleasure bomb!As always, the torque curve on the Street Triple R is generous from low revs to high, with a remarkable 107hp output that pulls hard and instantly whatever the rev counter is showing. The gearboxhas a taller first gear than before, taking advantage of of the engine's depth of torque for smoother urban riding. To keep things smooth through the gears, Triumph has fit a gear driven balance shaft, so your focus on long stints at high speeds isn't interrupted by vibration. Four valves per cylinder with double overhead camshafts is the best layout for high revs, so that's what the Street Triple has.The aluminum twin spar frame's styling is familiar but it is an all-new design, including a slightly steeper rake angle and a little less trail than the Street Triple, designed to give the R even more responsive handling. A chassis this exceptional demands good suspension so the Street comes with KYB upside down front forks with adjustable preload, rebound, and compression damping, and a rear monoshock with piggy back reservoir for rebound and compression damping. Radially mounted four piston Nissin calipers up front give you braking with almost telepathic feedback, and a Brembo caliper and 220 disc finished up the rear brakes. Switchable ABS comes as standard too.
