2014 Triumph America LT, #TriumphamericaLT 2014 Triumph America LT Features and Benefits Classic... From a cross-town hop to an intercontinental tour, the America LT will take you there in style. Based on the engine, chassis and legendary styling of our America, the LT adds a layer of touring capability and an enviable range of factory fitted extras designed to make those longer distances a breeze. All the while maintaining the traditional deep chrome and polished detailing demanded of a classic cruiser, of course. STYLING THE ENGINE Striking machined fins pick out the distinctive parallel twin shape, while chrome engine covers are offset against jet-black barrels and crankcases. A pair of wide, dramatically splayed exhaust pipes dominate the LT s front three-quarter profile with their classic header-run following a straight line from the throttle bodies through to the headers. Our parallel twin heritage for all to see and admire. The Chassis Swept-back classic styling, characterised by details such as the dramatic slab top yoke, centre-mounted white-faced speedo, large single headlight, chrome tank console housing and filler cap, and hand-painted tank and mudguard coachlines. ENGINE Performance Built to be ridden, not just to look good. The America s 865cc parallel-twin puts out a healthy 61PS with strong torque at low revs, peaking at 72Nm at just 3300rpm. Ideal for urban cruising at low revs but with enough muscle for serious long distances at motorway speeds, even with a passenger or luggage on board. This vertical twin is a true original. Drawing on our heritage from fifties and sixties parallel twins and coupling that with modern technology and build standards, the engine in the America has a laid-back riding character that s unique to the cruiser world. Configuration Straight away people notice the America s unmistakably British style. Its pair of cylinders stand upright and proud and make a powerful statement. And, being air-cooled there s no radiator to spoil the view. CHASSIS Suspension With forks raked out at a shallow angle and feature polished shrouding and silver legs that match the chrome springs and covers of the laid-down, twin rear shocks. The America s suspension works hard to provide laid-back comfort and road feedback in true cruiser style. Handling Long, low and stable like a cruiser should be. Everything about the America s chassis is focussed on balance and we ve matched each component carefully to maintain that steady, intuitive feel. As a result, it s agile enough for an exciting ride when the road gets interesting and is more capable through the corners than most of its rivals. It s so well-balanced that it is ideal for inexperienced riders as well as a satisfying cruise for those with a lot of miles behind them. Brakes Never too shar

SO HERE WE GO! time to get rid of my first bike and hopefully it goes to another good home, maybe even another first time rider. its a 1971 t120 triumph, single carb I rebuilt last summer, the wiring has all been redone by me including some way better features, like some decent fuses and a kill switch for all lights which makes kicking this thing over a breeze. I replaced the points with an electric starter but yes you still need to kick it this unit just makes it more reliable. I have the Morgo big bore kit on this thing. in addition to that the whole top end has been rebuilt a year ago by Dave at classic cycles ltd in frenchtown NJ they specialize in british bikes. I had put new mufflers on it but they got pretty beat up on the count of me lowering the bike 2 inches and not compensating by bending up the pipes which resulted in the mufflers dragging around tight turns, I recently lost one around a turn which sucks. it has newer vintage goodyear tires which give it a great "brat" style look but i also have new original style tires as well which i will include with the bike, when I bought this bike it came with a 60s seat which I have since replaced with the right seat but I will include the 60s seat as well. the shocks are new hagon 2 inch drop shocks but i also have the original stock hight shocks if you choose to put those back on you can, I have also removed the fenders which you can have, i will include the side covers, and the old light mount which i have replaced with a custom mount i made to go with the style of the bike. the grips and controls have been upgraded and the gaskets have been replaced. now for some fun stuff... my plan was to make this guy into a chopper/bobber so you are going to get a david bird weld on hardtail kit, a biltwell slimline solo seat, and a low mount license plate bracket. this thing is reliable and kicks over on the first kick everytime even in the winter. i love this thing and it has always been there for me but I have limited space and another chopper project I need to finish so she is all yours and I will probably regret getting rid of her. a few minor things. the rocker box covers should be replaced they leak a bit and show signs of damage (done by the previous owner) and it leaks oil (yes i know all british bikes do) i have tried to stop the leaks with all the seals and stuff but what ive been told is i need to dechrome all the chrome parts and then I will get tighter seals. so there you go thats the bike in a nutshell the title is clean and you can drive her away, NO TEST RIDES! but if you are local come on over and take a peak. I will answer any questions you have to the best of my ability happy bidding
