2014 Triumph Bonneville T100, 2014 Triumph Bonneville T100 SE Last of the Model Year 2014 Bonnevilles to get the beauty treatment is a very Special Edition, which boasts a paint scheme inspired by one of the last Meriden models off the line in 1982, the T140w TSS. The distinctive Jet Black and Lunar Silver paintwork creates a unique looking Bonneville, with black livery on the tank and side panels (with twin, hand-painted gold coach lines), while the front and rear mudguards are painted silver with jet black centre stripes and gold coach lines. As with the T100, the special edition sports the new detailing on the cylinder head cooling fins, solid black oil cooler lines and a more throaty sounding silencer. To complete the retro look the Special Edition also sports a chrome grab rail, black mirrors and a brushed finish to the clutch, sprocket, alternator and cam covers. Today, this 865cc parallel twin puts out a healthy 68PS with 68Nm of torque at its peak, with plenty available at low revs so you get most use out of it. The fuelling is controlled by a sophisticated management computer programmed for clean emissions and a smooth, predictable throttle response. So there s enough performance to be fun for experienced riders but not so much that will intimidate riders with fewer miles behind them. Brakes We ve given the T100 a single disc brake at the front for a strong, progressive feel and a second disc for the rear for plenty of stopping force whilst maintaining the overall balance of the chassis so every moment of your ride is confident and controlled. Handling We ve built a traditional style tubular steel cradle design and included the engine as an integral component for a stiffer, stronger chassis and more precise ride.
