Custom Triumph Bobber 2003 Triumph America 19,500 miles and counting. Bought this over a year ago for my wife to ride and I’ve done extensive work to it on top of what the prior owner had done. My wife has enjoyed riding it but wants to move onto a bagger now. This bike is ready to roll to bike night or weekend cursing, needs very, very little. Bike is very quick with lots of top end power and very good low end torque. Bike fires up first time every time hot or cold. Warms up quick with heated carbs. This Triumph America weighs in at less than 490 pounds and sits super low. It’s been lowered 3” front and back with Progressive Suspension. The seat has been changed to a British Custom Solo Seat for an even lower riding position. Bike comes with three sets of bars. The current bars are similar to the stock bars in pull back but have less raise, this gives you a little forward lean for most people. The set that I prefer are much less pull back and even lower which gives me even more forward lean. The last set is what came on the bike and is a set of down turned cafe bars for a huge reach and forward lean. All three come with the bike. Rev limit at 8500 RPM for this 790cc DOHC Parallel Twin with dual carbs and open full length pipes that sound great. Crazy fast throttle response from the dual Nology ignition coils and wires as well as the new Triumph Twin Power Fire Starter Performance Ignitor Unit and new NGK plugs. Full synthetic oil changed less than 1k miles ago. Dunlop tires with greater than 60% life left. The Triumph America is a very light bike, lighter than a Harley Sportster but larger than a Sportster. The America has a similar size to the Harley Softtail. Super easy to ride, sounds awesome and handles well at speed being as low as it is. Lots of little custom features seen throughout the bike. I’m gonna list all of the medications below and please take a close look at the photos for all the little details. - Sceptre full length open pipes - Sound crazy good - Carbs jetted to match the pipes and altitude - Nology Racing Ignition Coils and Wires - New NGK Plugs - Triumph Twin Power Fire Starter Performance Igniter Unit - Progressive Lower Kit and Springs in front forks. - Forks completely rebuilt this year. - Progressive Rear Shocks with adjustable preload - New front and rear EBC HH Stintered brake pads from and rear - Installed last year - New floating front EBC brake rotor from a CBR900RR installed last year - New stainless steel braided brake lines installed last year - New Barnett clutch cable installed this year - British Customs billet clutch cable support - Hella E-Code Headlight - British Customs front and rear turn indicator/running lights - Signal Minder auto canceling turn signal system - British Customs Solo Seat - British Customs Solo Seat Fender Trim - British Customs Rear Luggage Rack - Not pictured - British Customs rear beg eliminator plates - Kuryakyn Grips with throttle boss - Paint in outstanding condition except for the front fender which has a few small scratches in it from being stored. We were running the bike without a front fender until the weather went bad this year. If you’re looking for a light, fast cruiser with lots of unique style this is a must see. $5,000 OBO - Cash only - Clean Title in hand And like everyone else… No joyrides, serious buyers only, must know how to ride and have experience to get on this bike for a test ride. Keywords because it’s a unique bike that will be of interest to non-Triumph buyers: Harley Sportster, Sportster 883, Sportster 1200, Sportster Low, Honda VTX, Honda Shadow, Yamaha Star, Yamaha Bolt, Suzuki Boulevard, Kawasaki Vulcan, Iron 883, 1200 Custom, Sportster Forty-Eight, Sportster 48, Sportster SuperLow, Sportster Seventy-Two, Sportster 72. 2006 Triumph America, Great shape, low miles. Very fun "Mid-Sized" cruiser with low seat. Priced to move!! - With its wide bars, forward-set pegs and relaxed, parallel twin power the America mixes classic British engineering with style from the highways of the USA. Based around the iconic Bonneville the America builds on a fantastic package. The basic architecture of the America?s 790 cc, twin-cylinder engine is as the Bonnie but a 270 degree firing interval ? rather than 360 degrees ? gives a loping exhaust note and mellow power delivery that?s big on easy-going drive and heavy with character. Spinning a fat, 170/80-section rear tire (crowning a well-spoked 15-inch rim) through a five-speed gearbox the engine fires its heartbeat out through a pair of deep-chrome slash-cut mufflers. Heavy duty, wide-set telescopic forks add substance and a solid look to the America?s raked front end, as does the 18-inch front wheel, shod with its 110/80 tire. Disc brakes matched to twin-piston calipers take care of the stopping duties. The America?s a great place to embark upon a motorcycling career, but as a true cruising motorcycle it?s also built to cover ground. Its relaxed riding position, with forward set ?highway? pegs, wide raked-back handlebars and low 28-inch seat height aids rider comfort and control, also makes the America extremely manageable in all situations ? especially for riders with limited experience. Even those with many miles under their belts, however will be impressed with the chassis? surefooted ability and confidence-inspiring handling. The America?s also been made to be admired and from its slab-style top clamp to chromed shock absorbers it?s the very essence of cruiser chic ? but with something a little different; a sense of style and heritage very much its own. This bike simply isn?t like the clone-like mass of everyday cruisers. Centrally mounted above the teardrop-shaped 4.4-gallon fuel tank is a deep-chromed instrument console matching classic style Triumph tank badges. A white-faced, chrome-bezelled speedometer sits rakishly above the single headlight and with a nod to the past the passenger footrest hangers echo the lines of the trademark toolboxes of pre-war Triumphs. Two-tone paintwork, with hand-applied coach lines tops the America with a choice of Graphite with Silver infill and Mulberry Red with Graphite infill. For those preferring simplicity, a stylish single-tone Jet Black option is also available. Cruising is all about the essence of freedom and individuality and the America provides both. It?s also ready to further personalize, from the simple addition of luggage and screens to extra chrome work. There are also entire custom-painted body kits to mark out a personal identity. <
