2004 Suzuki V-Strom 1000, Ready to ride anywhere!!! 2004 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 (DL1000) Where do you want to go today?... Suzuki introduces the Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, the Sport Enduro Tourer. The versatile V-Strom combines the performance of a proven V-twin powerplant with nimble handling, aggressive styling and a comfortable riding position. A strong, lightweight, aluminum-alloy twin-spar frame supports the DL1000 and provides a 60.5-inch wheelbase and 32.8-inch seat height. Front suspension consists of 43mm cartridge forks with adjustable spring preload. In the rear, an aluminum-alloy swingarm is mated to a piggyback-reservoir shock with adjustable rebound damping and a convenient knob-operated spring-preload adjuster. Approximately 6 inches of wheel travel is available both front and rear. Wheels are lightweight cast-aluminum-alloy units with radial tires.
