This bike has been stored in a climate-controlled garage, out of the elements, its entire life. It is a heavily, yet very tastefully and professionally modified SV650. The most technically-challenging fabrication done on this bike was performed by the original owner. He is a very talented welder and machinist. All work was performed in his university engineering lab, or by other professionals. I will share the full set of build photos with the buyer, including a spreadsheet with corresponding meticulous notes. You'll see how many different rear shocks were test fit, how many different exhaust configurations were experimented with, and the overall care and expertise that went into building the best example of the SV650 I've ever seen. This is my fourth SV. My first was a '99 N (I put 60K miles on it over five years). Then I bought an '04 S new, and did very few mods to it. Then a used bone-stock '03 SV1K and, when I realized the motor in the 1K was too unpredictable, and the brakes and suspension too inadequate for that much power, I took my time finding the perfect second gen SV650, and this was it. Since taking ownership, my goals with this bike were two-fold: to turn it into a proper hooligan streetfighter, and to adjust the ergonomics to be as comfortable as possible with purposes of being a very comfortable sport touring motorcycle. I'll concede that it's too light to be ideal for consecutive 500-mile days on the highway, even though I've done this, but it is a proper street fighter in every way while maintaining 95% of the reliability and ease-of-maintenance that an OEM sportbike has. The following is a list of mods conducted by the original owner: •2007 Suzuki GSX-R Complete Front-End •2007 Suzuki GSX-R Front Wheel, Black Powder-Coated •Wide 2003 Kawasaki Z1000 Rear Wheel, Black Powder-Coated •Wide 190/50-17 Conti-Motion Rear Tire •2006 Kawasaki ZZR Swing Arm •Custom Slip-On w/ Custom Downpipe •Custom Satin Black Paint w/ White Vinyl Stripes •Aftermarket Dual Headlights •Aftermarket Fiberglass Belly Pan •Custom-Fabricated Rear Fender •Smoked Taillight w/ Integrated Turn Signal Emulators •2006 Kawasaki ZX10 Rear Shock Revalved w/ 9.3kg/mm Spring Rate •Aftermarket Adjustable Brake and Clutch Levers, Gold Anodized The following is a list of mods I did myself over the last 18 months: •LSL Superbike Handlebars, Black •LSL Top Triple-Clamp, CNC-Machined Billet Aluminum •Spiegler Braided Stainless Steel Front Brake Lines •Motion-Pro Braided Stainless Steel Throttle Cables •Motion-Pro Braided Stainless Steel Clutch Cable •Aftermarket Powder-Coated Aluminum Stalk Mirrors, Black •Vario 40mm Offset Adjustable Footpegs, Black •Motech Alu-Rack Top Case Rack, Black •Shad Quick-Release Top-Case Plate, Black •Shad SH45 45-Liter Top Case, Black (holds two full-face helmets) The following items were replaced within the last 100 miles by Pompton Motorsports: •New Brake Pads (rear, front are still good) •New Sprockets (front and rear) •New Chain •New Battery Some quirks a potential new owner should know about: •The ignition is mounted in-between the frame on the left side •The black satin paint does not have a clear coat on it, so it is becoming more dull/matte over time •The gauges do not show speed / mileage (if you like you can fix with a magnet kit, or add a Veypor or equivalent), all other instruments including tach work perfectly I really love this bike but just purchased a stock Triumph which I plan to customize and unfortunately can't keep both bikes living in a city with such crazy parking issues. The garage where I park only allows two bikes in my space and my girlfriend's bike is taking up the other spot (the things we do for love). I am only slightly flexible on the price, depending on which parts and accessories you may or may not want. I'd be happy to remove items to bring the cost down for you.
