2006 SUZUKI S40, Ahhh yes! The Suzuki S40 (formally known as the Savage), is an air-cooled single cylinder 650 Thumper that has been a well known cult classic for MANY moons! So many in fact that 2016 marked it's 30th year in production. It is well regarded as both a beginner bike (yes there are better options then a Honda Rebel) as well as the more experienced to customize and trick out. Even if your not a welder, various companies manufacture kits specifically for this bike to make it into a bobber, scrambler, or even cafe racer. Simple, clean, elegant and to the point. This bike is everything you could want all in one small, extremely responsive and easily maneuverable package. Weighing in at only 380 pounds wet and the low 27.6 inches seat height, this bike is ideal even for the most petite of riders who still want a little get up and go. Fuel economy is excellent coming it just over 50 mpg on highway and the final-drive belt is quiet and smooth. Our only word of advice is if your over 5'11 or 33-inch inseam you may feel somewhat confined. Otherwise you should feel right at home!
