This 2006 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 K6 is super clean, very low mileage, with a limited selelction of performance upgrades. Mileage is 4403 actual miles. I know this to be true, as I purchased the bike in 2012 with 2500 miles on it from the original owner. It was 100% stock when I purchased it. It has been ridden mostly on the street, but has been to a few local trackdays as well, where I fine-tuned the chassis and suspension settings.It has never been crashed in any way, or even tipped over in the garage. There are a few little nicks and scratches here and there from normal use, but they are extremely minor. You won't find a nicer example of a Gixxer K6 1000 anywhere.The silver and black 'stealth' paint scheme is desirable for it's limited availability and good looks. Most of the bikes you will see were the classic blue/white racer paint scheme, and honestly most of them look pretty thrashed.The K5/K6 motors are widely acclaimed as one of the most desirable models to own because of the arm-wrenching midrange torque and top-end power this model produced, as well as their stellar and stable handling characteristics. In fact, this model was ridden to the 2006 AMA Superbike Championship by Ben Spies in a season-long battle with Matt Mladin. I saw them race at California Speedway (Fontana, CA), and believe me, their bikes ripped.There are no major mechanical modifications to the engine, but there are a few small performance improvements. It has a large, free-breathing K&N filter in the stock airbox, as well as a DynoJet Powercommander V installed and tuned by Hypercycle Racing of Van Nuys, CA. PAIR valve blockoff plates were installed so that the Powercommander tuning could be optimized.
